“Hosts very welcoming as I arrived late and they organised a taxi for me . Bed was very comfortable clean and tidy room and bathroom. I was in awe at the view from the breakfast room / lounge - amazing views of the Diglea valley - sheep and lambs in fields - hens clucking around the car park . I chose my breakfast which was freshly cooked whilst I admired the views and peace . The hosts were kind and gave lots of information about the history of the area . A definite recommended from me .”

“The food was beautiful! Really really good. We sat downstairs as there were lots of tables reserved (I'd recommend booking a table if you can) especially if you are visiting on a weekend. The food was really delicious. Dog friendly as well which is a bonus and we even got a sausage for our doggo! Highly recommend!!”

“A superb spot for a relaxed Sunday lunch, where dogs are very much welcomed. The food offering is to a very high standard, whilst not the lowest prices, the cost reflects the quality of the produce. All the staff I encountered were excellent and appeared to be very enthusiastic about what they are doing. Cleanliness couldn't be faulted in the public areas.”

“My wife and I came for lunch, having previously visited for drinks a few weeks ago. We are trying all the local eateries as we will shortly be moving here. The staff were very welcoming and attentive and it all seemed very well organised. The food was excellent and we both really enjoyed the Sunday Dinner menu which was available on bank holiday Monday. Decor is really nice and the pub has a welcoming feel. Nice to see dogs are welcomed in the bar and garden areas. Will most definately be returning”

“I've been taking my Labrador, Ted, here for 6 years now. He's always happy there and gets really excited when we start to drive up the hill to get there. They always fit us in, even if I've forgotten to book and end up calling last minuite. Nothing is ever too much trouble.”

“Been twice recently, once for breakfast once for a carvery. Both time the food was fantastic, hot, fresh and tasty. The chef came over both times making sure everything was OK and had a chat when we had finished our meals, bar staff are lovely and welcoming too. “Great size room for 200 people for a football presentation, fair drinks prices, kids had a great time on the dance floor. Food was provided but a bit cold when served, so so for the food and only 1 person serving so took a while to get any food”
