“Visited again last week. I absolutely love this place. Hidden gem. Great place to bring teenagers who prefer quiet, young adults who may be anxious and not enjoy the crowds. Can walk around as many times as like and discover all animals. Gorgeous pigs, donkeys, goats and chickens enjoying themselves. There are ping pong tables for a quick out side game, children's play equipment. A river to walk along. A cafe to sit have a snack and drink. Squirrels running up and down the trees. Some animals look like they are rescue animals and are obviously being taken care of by the farm.”

“Bowden House provides a wonderful setting for your child to thrive. Having had my older son at another local and reputable nursery and from talking to friends, I can honestly say it sits head and shoulders above the rest. Not only is the setting small and intimate, the staff are friendly to children and parents alike. My little boy had a special relationship with his key worker Ruby, who was always so bubbly and positive with him. Although he only attended two days a week would talk about her a lot and was always excited to go to nursery. The nursery keeps parents well informed of activities for the week ahead (always varied, creative and educational) and provide regular updates on your child’s progress. I highly recommend this nursery to anyone looking in the locality.”

“Been wanting to check out since moving to the area and loved the cozy atmosphere. I was SO happy they had vegan milkshakes as I've not been able to find anywhere that makes them! “We used this venue as a campervan stopover. Which was mostly OK. When we arrived to pitch up the parking area was pretty well at capacity due to a Bowls match, tis cleared after about 2 hours or so and we were able to pitch up. As this was free we decided to meet with my sister and partner and my son. The 5 of us had a pleasant meal in the pub which we enjoyed. I would suggest that the proprietors consider putting an outside drinking water tap and marked bins for waste recycling. I have no doubt that we shall be visiting again.”

“I came for an evening meal and the staff were immediately kind and very helpful. I was offered a drink whilst I waited at the bar which was amazing and then I was asked if I was ready to be seated upstairs. The atmosphere was amazing and the staff are so friendly and kind. The food was incredible and any time I felt I was ready for another drink or to order more food, there was a staff member near by to help with this. Will definitely be back!”

“11 of us visited on the 20/06/25 for a birthday meal. I hadn't eaten from the Spice Tower for over 6 years when it was under previous management following a poor takeaway. WOW it has changed. I had a takeaway a few weeks ago to test it out before booking for my stepsons birthday meal out and loved it. The family attended for said birthday last night and everybody agreed that the food was delicious and the service great. I personally had the tamarind prawns to start and the chum chum mix for main and couldn't fault it. Great value for money to. I think I've found a new favourite.”
