“Food always bang on , reasonable price, service really good , I asked for an item that wasn’t on their menu and they was happy to help no problems at all ; best one around by miles , this is our go to Chinese takeaway”

“This review is based on 1 particular meal, customer service, food quality and packaging in comparison to other takeaways I’ve been to in Manchester and London… I don’t usually give reviews unless I’ve been to a place on a number of occasions because sometimes like everyone else, we have bad days therefore, food or service might not be as consistent. However, fortunately to say - Heng Seng have been consistent over the years I have been going there. My review is based on the vegetable chow mien and chicken (halal) chow mien dishes alongside salt & pepper chips and prawn crackers (had other stuff too but I’m comparing to other takeaways). - Over the course of 5 years, me and my partner fell in love with their vegetable chow mien. Tonight, the chicken (halal) chow mien took that spot. Their chow mien is BANGING! Full of flavour, generous on the portion size and not just full of noodles (like some places). It’s not heavy on oil, doesn’t leave you feeling unhealthy or groggy - salt and pepper chips: again, good size, lots of flavour and not too much salt - prawn crackers: these are just right. A lot of places we’ve been to either tastes too fish or are too oily - so hands down, Heng Seng smashed it. We’ve always ordered our food then collected. Never had to wait long and customer service was always exceptional and first class. I’m not a food critic btw - I just know my flavours, oil and spices cos I’m an Asian! Plus I travel a lot. In summary, really impressed with this takeaway.”

“Absolutely loved our experience at Sweet Diner in Denton! The burgers and shakes were amazing—great quality and bursting with flavor. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. We ordered a strawberry sherbet but didn’t quite enjoy it, and without any fuss, they kindly replaced it with a vanilla ice cream free of charge. Such a thoughtful gesture! Highly recommended for great food and exceptional service!”

“Shop is always kept really clean and the staff are always very friendly and polite especially Kay who always looks after us when we order on the Subway App. Has a few seats for dining in, and always does great sandwiches and don't forget the delicious cookies!”

“Stopped into this pub on the way home from a weekend wedding to break up our journey. The chef and host could not do anymore for us. The food (mikes kitchen) was delicious I had a chicken roast and my husband had a homemade pie. Our daughter is a fussy eater they accommodated her perfectly. Staff were very friendly and easy to talk to, as we left they were setting up for karaoke, wish we weren't leaving.”

“We always order the same meal, yes boring but it's a good way of knowing the good from the not so good, ordered the beef foo yung and chicken chow mein as we have done many times before, but have to say this evenings was exceptional!! “Made an order for delivery and realised I’d made a mistake. Called shakes and bakes 20 mins later thinking it’d be too late and they were happy to amend the order for me. Really lovely staff who work there, just genuine people. Desserts are always 10/10, sweet diner is our go to most weekends!!”

“My mother regularly visits this cafe with friends so took me along too as I'm up visiting. We've been twice together now and I just love the food and cakes here! The lady owner makes the sweet treats which is impressive and the cheese toasties are something out of a dream. All melty inside and crispy on the top from the extra cheesy goodness added there. They make nice hot drinks and everything is reasonably priced (toasties £6 and very filling). It's a lovely place to sit in the park and the regulars are friendly. No one seems to hog tables so we have been able to sit there both times. However, in busy times there are plenty of nice benches in the park to take a coffee and cake. Lovely place and the ladies are nice and friendly, even when rushed off their feet. They always say hello to my mum by name (and to others I've heard) so they obviously care about their customers.”

“I have been going to this Cafe since my college days 6 years ago when it used to be a caravan and now it is a shop and the food still tastes amazing and consistent from the very first time trying it out. Bangla Burger is the best with rich flavour and spices and is very filling. I would highly recommend this if you are in the Hyde area/town.”

“We turned up just as they were closing as we got stuck in traffic, we’re currently visiting family in the area and really wanted a Chinese before we leave tomorrow. The really kind Lady and gentleman opened the kitchen back up for us to cook our meal. We ordered a large amount of food between a few of us and it tasted absolutely delicious! Amazing portion sizes and even better prices!! We have had exactly the same from other Chinese takeaways and they’ve been much more expensive and worse in taste. IF YOU LIVE LOCAL PAY A VISIT TO THIS TAKE AWAY!”

“Went in here whilst I had to wait for my brakes done. I ordered the £11.50 fish special. The staff were really friendly, it looked really clean inside. When the food came it was a decent size portion for the money, I actually struggled to finish it. The fish was really a good size, fresh and flaky. It melted in your mouth ,the batter on the fish was crispy and light. The chips were cooked perfectly and plenty of them as were the mushy peas, this also came with bread and butter and a drink. I would definitely come back in the future when im in Hyde”

“First time I've ordered from there. I ordered a Abdul special pizza for my lad who absolutely loved it said it was 1 of the best pizzas he has had. And I ordered a Naga chicken curry with a couple of chapattis . It was just what I needed on a cold night like this beautiful flavours but with a good kick to it. Over all a very good first experience and would highly recommend it.”

“Was completely refurbishment during September 2023 and reopened with the usual excellent staff and excellent food (which is why I have left the following 5 star review unchanged). Unfortunately, the refurbishment means we will not be using the café as often as we have done in the past, because they no longer take cash. The counter has been replaced by order screens similar to the screens in MacDonalds and some M&S cafe's, and younger people will love them. Unfortunately, unlike the similar machines at MacDonalds and some M&S cafe's (which take cash as well as card) the new payment screens here only accept card payments. The café looks fine, and the food is as good as ever, but the payment system makes it feel very impersonal and there is less opportunity for banter with the friendly staff. Also, some of the older customers who usually pay by cash will now feel excluded. Personally, I prefer a choice, sometimes paying cash, sometimes by card. Breakfast is always hot, well cooked, and well presented.”
