Really well thought through and executed sessions, With fantastic toys and accessories, always tailored to that weeks book. Cannot recommend these sessions and Hannah (who organises them) more highly, and we have already signed up for the next term!”

Having been told I would need major surgery and my hockey playing days may be over, I’m delighted to have made it back on to the hockey pitch last week following a tailored rehab program from Jack. He use an APP to demonstrate exercise plans for me to do at home and advise on what to do and what not to do. Highly recommended Ian.”

“I’ve been visiting most mornings and so far, so good. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, the swimming pool is excellent, and the gym staff are friendly and helpful. Changing rooms are decent, and The Cove next door is great for a sauna after a workout. The only small downside is the car park, which can get busy at peak times, although early mornings are fine. Overall, a great gym and pool with everything you need.”

“I want to say thank you to Doug for a fantastic recovery for me and I couldn’t recommend Doug and the Altius team enough. I had what originally was seen as a groin injury by the original physio I went to that I got playing football. I ended up at 2 different physio organisations that weren’t Altius, went through 6-8 week groin recovery treatment both times but the issue didn’t go away either time. I went to Doug and Altius and it turned out I had a torn adductor and also a double hernia. Doug put a plan to put a focus on repairing the adductor first, then have surgery on the hernias followed by physio recovery of the hernias surgery. The recovery program was very focussed on building things up, not pushing past where things were ready and ultimately rebuilding strength, flexibility at the right pace. I went from thinking I was probably never going to play football again at times during the injury recovery to now having been back playing for 4 months and have no limitations around mobility and feel great playing again. Very professional, clear on the recovery processes and confident that things would get back to normal after time which helped with my belief about getting back playing again. L”

He translated the medical descriptions into laymen’s terms, made clear that I needed specialist attention and said he was confident we could resolve my issues in 12 weeks. I was sceptical at first as I had a mid-spine fracture, lower spine degeneration with occasional nerve pain down the leg, and arm/hand sensations due to neck issues. “Large rooms with power points. The furniture is of a good standard and the kitchen is a very good standard. The cafe area near the kitchen has lovely circular tables that we covered in pretty tablecloths with artificial flowers on each table, each table could easily sit six. There is a creche area for younger children, clean toilets near the entrance way. A security system to gain access to the building that requires a code, so you can keep your younger children safe from wondering outside unattended. And let only your party in when you have hire of the hall. Large car park as well”
