2 Altrincham Leisure Centre
βIβve been visiting most mornings and so far, so good. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, the swimming pool is excellent, and the gym staff are friendly and helpful. Changing rooms are decent, and The Cove next door is great for a sauna after a workout. The only small downside is the car park, which can get busy at peak times, although early mornings are fine. Overall, a great gym and pool with everything you need.β

4 National Trust - Dunham Massey
βAn internationally accessible haven of tranquility providing escape from the city. Dunham Massey is a brilliant green area south of Manchester, well conectes to Manchester airport. A range of flora and fauna make for a wonderful nature trail and forage, or a humble walk passively absorbing the natural landscape including forested areas and open pastures featuring abundant wildlife. On our visit most of the amenities were closed due to a met office weather warning, but this didnβt stop us exploring the vast grounds in peace. They often talk about calm before the storm, but rarely the calm during the storm- which is what we experienced due to the lack of fair weather crowds. I can imagine on more typical days tje cafes and visitors centre complete this experience with a warm drink or a hot soup after a brisk autumn stroll. I look forward to experiencing these on a future visit.β

βThis is a little gem of a park. It is small but wonderful. There is a lovely little cafe it really good value for money as well. We got three meals (toasties and jacket potatoes) three drinks and a toasted teacakes and it was just over Β£20. The food was lovely. We had a walk round the lake and park. Fully wheelchair accessible too. Parking is street parking but we had no issues. We went on a Sunday. Will be going back agaonβ
