“Extremely satisfied with this place! Family-run business, so you know they really take care of the place and the quality of their food. I got the option that lets you try 3 dishes in one meal, as well as their beef and vegetable momos. I highly recommend the broccoli stir fry! Serving was generous and I had to take home some of the food I wasn't able to finish. Not disappointed at all and would definitely go back if I get a chance.”

“Last night, I called in for a takeaway pizza. There was a tiny issue with the timing as the place was so busy but it was absolutely nothing to concern myself about. But ,because of this, the young lady serving me, Victoria, could not have been more helpful. I left wood fire smoke with a smile on my face only get home to eat the usual delicious pizza that I always order. If you have never been to this restaurant, then it’s time you did. I wholeheartedly recommend it as the pizzas are the best in town and staff are lovely.”

“Accidently today we have discovered that little gem. We were heading to take away that turned out to be shut down. My husband decided to give it a go and try out new place that took over and it was amazing. Very kind and polite staff (maybe owners not sure), food was absolutelly delicious, very presentable in take away trays. We have ordered few meals. I had korean spicy (very spicy) chicken with rice/kimchi/ 2 small pieces of sushi/ 2 crispy gyoza dumplings and 2 veg spring rolls. Portion was satisfying, it cost £9 or £9.50 ( worth every penny) none of the sauces were mixing or touching. It was full of different flavours. I honestly enjoyed my meal. My husband had katsu curry with chicken and same sides as i had. Chicken was deliciously crispy and sauce was wonderful. My mother in law had pad thai, portion was very big, and she enjoyed her meal until the last bite. We had also 2 different types of sushi. Can tell it was done fresh and very carefully. It was very presentable. I think tomorrow we will try other their meals. Very nice place with kind staff, i wish them the best and hope they keep up their high standard. We are glad we found this place.”

“I have been going to this restaurant for years now on and off. Family run business and they are so helpful with allergies and cater as much as possible for the customer. Really tasty food and it's never disappointed. Really good portions and really friendly staff. I've always ordered takeout because the bookings for the restaurant is always full and it's full for a reason but takeaway has been above and beyond. If I ever fancy Thai food it's always been Baan Pad Thai as they have always come through with top authentic food.”

“The Black Friar has been amazing to work with for our friendship group's annual Christmas lunch. They made the entire booking process extremely easy, with all the T&Cs clearly outlined from the start. On the day we were looked after by Jess, who was incredible, very quick to respond to any issues raised, never kept anyone waiting, so accommodating with our various quirks (like pictures), and was easy to reach when needed without making it seem like hovering. And always with a smile, of course. Truly, truly a standout member of the team deserving of all the praise. The food at the Black Friar was also divine, incredibly generous portions (that I admit, have bested me) and every bite was a pleasure for all the senses. Our whole group was very happy with the afternoon we got to spend there and we will definitely be looking into coming back for next year's annual Christmas lunch, a total gem of a pub.”

“I honestly tried to find a problem with this place, but the whole experience, from the warm greeting from the proprietor to the end of the food, you feel like it's a different experience. The quality of the food is sublime, everything cooked to perfection and prepared with such precision and detail that you almost forget that you're having a takeaway burger in your lounge. The owner was very excited and happy to tell us the story of how he got the idea to start this business. Upon hearing we hadn't been before, the owner, as he wanted our opinion on them, he handed us a taste of their Pitt beans, which were incredible. The taste is almost impossible to describe except "wow!" Overall, if you're after an upmarket burger, full of flavors, and sides that will blow your mind, then this is the place for you. There is car parking and also, they are coordinating order collection times brilliantly to avoid gatherings of people at their premesis. Well done guys!”

“Without this place, Chorlton would be really lacking in good east Asian food options. The food here is fire. The Bun Cha (fishcake noodle soup) is the one to order; the flavour in that broth really is something special! You can tell these guys really care about the food. I wish the papaya salad was spicier & funkier but that might just be me. Either way it's still fresh & delicious.”

“This chippy has been here since I was a Kid back in the 80's, and the family who have owned the chippy since I can remember are still producing the same awesome English and Chinese food around. This is my go to chippy because it's always a trip down memory lane, the recipies have never changed and the food still tastes the same as back in the day. So you know 30 years or more running the place they have mastered their entire menu, I would recommend to all.”

The first time I’ve really enjoyed chicken from a Chinese takeaway, everything I ate was 10/10! 2 of us at the full box but could easily feed 3. “One of my favourite ramen places in Manchester, the food is always fantastic. My favourite dish is the Karaka Tan Tan Tonkotsu. The staff are also super accommodating - they were very careful and particular about handling my friend’s food in terms of her allergies. Will definitely be returning! It looks like they have a lunch deal which I’m looking forward to ordering soon.”

“Tried the fire cracker shrimp starter, the dynamite bao buns, katsu fries and the steamed chicken & prawn wontons. The bao buns were really soft, and the fire cracker shrimp was really tasty, would definitely recommend those. The staff was also really lovely and helpful with recommendations.”

“My order was a delivery order which was straight forward to use through Uber Eats! Porky Pigs Cafe made placing my order straight forward & clear. I could watch my order through the Uber Eats app being prepared right up until delivery where I then received a phonecall from the Uber Eats Driver informing myself my order had arrived & was at my front door, (the driver was identified to me as soon as my order was out for delivery). This was a very safe delivery with extremely quick & good service! The food itself was of a very generous size. My order was a large Yorkshire Pudding filled with bacon, sausage, fried egg & a hash brown with potato fries in a rather cute cardboard box & a large bottle of apple juice. I had the option to choose cutlery & a straw, which I chose, (& was free of charge). The food was so tasty, a good temperature & presented really well. The price was £18:14, which is quite expensive but this does include the Service Fee of £1:40 & a Delivery Fee of £2:97, so the actual meal was £13:95.”

“The steak was really nice when we visited earlier in the month. We had a seafood platter and king platter to share. There was a lot of meat on the king platter and meat was very tender. As it was a Thursday, it was really quiet and no one in the restaurant until we were nearly finished. The staff were really friendly and nice to the kids as they played around the table.”

“Wow wow wow. So for £6.50 I had the bonds burger and curly fries. The ingredients, the fusion of flavours and portion size are amazing. It's a real gem in the indoor market of Manchester arndale. It's not on the food side, so go look on the other side near the middle where there is a small seating area. The lady behind the counter is so lovely and easy to talk to. She is very knowledgeable about the food they are serving and is happy to walk you through the menu to help you make a selection. More importantly, one thing that will set them apart from other foodie stalls is they offer a loyalty card. It's expensive resturant quality but for drop bottom bargin price. A must visit”

“Been a few times for breakfast and brunch, always great food and service. Today, I went for Bottonless brunch. Great choice of food and drinks selection. Good portion sizes. “Taxi Drivers around Manchester have been telling me about this place for so long with rave reviews and I didn’t take their advice until this weekend and I’m on my 5th consecutive day ordering. The Kobedi’s (kebab) are absolutely unreal (Sahara Grill Rochdale restaurant level) so this is my go to order, however I’ve sampled the Chicken and Lamb kebabs too and they’re unreal. All the meat is quality and cooked to perfection in the clay ovens. When I say this is the best takeaway I’ve ever had (to the point of me deleting my JustEat and Domino’s app) you better believe it. Unreal.”
