Pub night out in Oldham

“Amazing venue! The only place I found that do literally everything for you all within a very reasonable price! Booked in April for a surprise baby shower yesterday and it was perfect! The room was all decorated perfectly with the cutest little touches, Nat did the buffet for us which was lovely and fresh with a good variety of food! Bar was stocked with lots of different drinks & the bouncy castle was the best thing to keep the kids entertained and safe! Herself & dale literally couldn’t have done anymore for us! 10/10 experience & will definitely recommend! Thank you so much xxx”

“We booked the Daisyfield for a Confirmation party. They offered a cold buffet and a choice of hot pies. We choose a mixture of both and were very impressed with the high quality, portion sizes and value for money. The children had an absolute ball playing in garden to the rear. There were chickens and rabbits for them to see plus some play equipment. As it was Easter Sunday there was also a DJ and Easter egg hunt. All in all we were made to feel very welcome and great atmosphere. Good time was had by all. Thank you.”

“First trip to Oldham town centre for almost 50 years! Oldham road once had pubs on almost every corner as you headed there from Manchester City Centre, many from the long gone Oldham brewery. Madge fancied a trip on the Metro and we spotted this pub in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide. Well worth the trip for just this corner pub. A bank of ten real ales. Great vibe plus a front pavement seating area. Madge found a new Oldham brewery..We are Wolf. Bar snacks incl sausage rolls. Great visit.”

“Excellent micro tap bar inside the indoor market hall. Lovely bar spread across 3 market units of space inside Tommyfield indoor market hall, very cosy and comfy little bar. Good choices of alcohol/ale's, Drink prices are really good value and not expensive at all! Friendly bar staff and lovely customers who seem to very chatty and welcoming. You can easily strike up good conversation in this bar and make new friends. This place is very much welcomed in the indoor market hall bringing new customers and faces to a part of the market hall that was a bit empty, Please support this little bar and visit Cob and Coal.”

“The food was beautiful! Really really good. We sat downstairs as there were lots of tables reserved (I'd recommend booking a table if you can) especially if you are visiting on a weekend. The food was really delicious. Dog friendly as well which is a bonus and we even got a sausage for our doggo! Highly recommend!!”

“We turned up as a party of 5, late notice on a Sunday evening after a long drive from the West Country. Despite the kitchen about to close, the lady who served us was extremely accommodating and we were soon served with absolutely lovely Sunday roast dinners; delicious food and plenty of it, nothing was too much trouble. “Came here with my friends and had an amazing time! The food was absolutely incredible. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made. Our server Rubel was awesome and gave us great recommendations that we all loved. The music was lit and really added to the fun, energetic vibe. “One of the best dining experiences I've ever had. The restaurant is quirky and modern with great ambiance. Our 2 waitresses were fantastic; friendly, efficient and very knowledgeable. Then there was the food.... hard to put into words how good it was. Every course was a piece of art and the tastes blew me away. “Perfect local pub. Family friendly, great atmosphere, warm welcome and so, so friendly. Great range of beers and spirits and an unrivalled juke box. Large room for functions with djaying facilities and in the summer there are plenty of tables outside with beautiful views over the green and beyond, all the way to Winter Hill in Horwich. Thank you for making us feel at home. Lots of laughs and a great day/night. Stayed far too long! Will definitely return again and again and again! :-)”

“My wife and I came for lunch, having previously visited for drinks a few weeks ago. We are trying all the local eateries as we will shortly be moving here. The staff were very welcoming and attentive and it all seemed very well organised. The food was excellent and we both really enjoyed the Sunday Dinner menu which was available on bank holiday Monday. Decor is really nice and the pub has a welcoming feel. Nice to see dogs are welcomed in the bar and garden areas. Will most definately be returning”

“We went on a Sunday afternoon and had the all you can eat buffet. The food is very tasty and the quality is excellent. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive. For £14.95 the buffet is excellent value for money. The atmosphere is relaxed and modern. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.”

“A spur of the moment decision on a Sunday late Sunday afternoon. A Walk in without a reservation late on Sunday afternoon, the pub was relatively busy and there was a small queue of people waiting to be seated. Whilst guest were being seated, the lady behind the bar could see that we were waiting. She stopped what she was doing, she greeted us with a cherry hello, and confirmed if we had a reservation which we haven’t. She said it was no bother had a table available And it will only take two ticks to wipe down and set up. We both went for the Sunday lunch one roast beef one roast lamb the meals came to the table within 20 minutes and I have to say one of the best Sunday lunches I’ve had in years we finished off With one cheesecake and two spoons. The staff here at the Horton were most definitely on their a game when we visited on Sunday. Polite professional and welcoming. We will most definitely be returning to the Horton Arms.”

“This pub is not part of your normally brewery chain. It's back to the old days were a couple run the bar with their lovely team. The pub is clean and warm and appears to have been recently modernised. It has a homely feel, friendly atmosphere, reasonable priced drinks and a wide variety of gins and tonics which we enjoyed trying.”
