“I have visited Unagi on a few occasions now and every visit is always great. The food is delicious! I would highly recommend the Bang Bang Karaage chicken and the salt & pepper fries, these were our favourites but everything tasted so good. Service is always friendly and very attentive. I visited this pub when it was the Tavern. I wrote a bad review amd critised whoever was running it, as it seems like a nice wee spot. The new people who have taken it over have put some love into this. Well done. I went in with low expectations and was proved utterly wrong. I cant understand how they can offer a free buffett. “I recently popped into Waitrose Altrincham to pick up a parcel from John Lewis. I was met with a queue that had literally just developed as a few people who had walked through the doors in front of me joined it. I resigned myself to a wait as we were in the lead up to Xmas. Within a minute several staff appeared to deal with the queue and all customers were dealt with in no time. I was impressed and just wanted to say, well done Waitrose Altrincham.”

“The cafe is brilliantly located right in the toddler play area at Stamford park. Having a cafe with a toilet is very convenient when I'm out and about with the kids. They have friendly staff, great coffee, lovely atmosphere & fabulous value.”

“I’ve just had their beyond meat burger and it’s by far the best burger I’ve ever had! Not just vegan/vegetarian but any burger. It was so flavoursome and well presented. The chips were great too! Delivery was quick and I loved that the packaging didn’t include any plastic.”

“Very good pizza considering that it's just a takeaway place. I would say at real italian pizzeria level. Good deals every week. I need to mention that their fries are one of the best I ever had in my life! Only little negative note, not much of vegetarian pizza flavours. “I just happened upon this place as I was walking along the canal at Broadheath. A young couple were sitting on the tow path eating a pizza. “Is it good?” I asked. “Delicious” was the reply. Decided to give it a go. The owner was a delightful fella who is clearly passionate about the food he is serving. Other customers in the place were all there due to “word by mouth”. The menu has the usual stalwarts but also more authentic pizzas too. I had the Friarielli & Nduja. Delicious. The pizza dough was the freshest and lightest that I have EVER had. I felt that I’d had an authentic pizza made by someone who cares rather than a portion-controlled production line made by an employee of a massive company paying minimum wage. A wonderful discovery and I shall visit again. They have a bigger premises in Sale btw. Ciao.”

“Lovely friendly staff, very cute setting. The food is authentic, filling and very tasty. I recommend the Jollof rice and the curry goat. Had a great chat with the owner about quality of food and having Jerk, French Afro Caribbean food in the area. Amazing food”

“I’ve been visiting this coffee shop regularly for a while now, and I honestly can’t praise the team enough. You can immediately tell they take pride in their work and genuinely care about both the quality of the coffee and the experience of everyone who walks in. Oli in particular has this effortless way of making the space feel welcoming, friendly, and his attentiveness is very wholesome. He remembers people’s preferences, checks in with guests thoughtfully, and the whole atmosphere runs smoothly under his watch. The drinks are consistently excellent, the service is efficient but personal, and there’s a calm, professional energy even during an influx. If you’re looking for a spot where you’re treated like a valued regular rather than just another customer, this is 100% it. Highly recommended!”

“Perfect little coffee stop for lunch & a quick caffeine hit! In the outskirts of the city for the day, I only had a short hour to find somewhere to eat & drink - Capuchin was the perfect little location! I initially walked past the door the first time, looking inside but being informed to go someplace else (close-by) which was supposedly the place to go... It was meant to be though because this location was being re-furbished & therefore, I came back here & was glad I did. The food was delicious & the coffee even better! I was served quickly with a friendly smile & the food didn't take too long to come out either. I can't remember how much it all came to but it wasn't a bad price & something totally expected for a good quality brunch & coffee. Would return & recommend a lot in what seems to be a competitive little corner (street). Well done guys!”

“Robina and John are the most wonderful neighbours to have over the road from Hive Stores. They both work very hard to bring a lot more joy and creativity to the neighbourhood and are always willing to help where they can. The waiting room cafe has the best value full English around and the engine room is set to become a great creative hub. Whilst enjoying breakfast on our day off we conversed with familiar faces from the local neighbourhood who were enjoying crafts and socialising in a relaxed atmosphere. Thank you Robina and John for always helping, making us laugh and generally being authentic people. You've created a great space!”
