“Just been to heroes of Waterloo for lunch- 5 adults.We had a table in the restaurant. The choice of food was extensive and comparably priced. The portions were very good, well cooked and presented. The food was of good quality. The service was good, flowed well, not long periods of waiting and at the same time not rushed. Surroundings well maintained and clean Good atmosphere. “Not had the pleasure for a while but no need to worry. Usual great beer albeit slightly smaller choice. Awesome bar staff;Lucy even remembered my dog's name after more than a year and miraculously produced a sausage to welcome him back! As for the locals I'd challenge even a Tory MP to leave without making new friends! Best pub in Tameside by far.”

“Florence Italian Cafe, unit 15 Ashton Indoor Market is very small but often full, and the reason is not hard to find. The staff are friendly, the service excellent, and the prices very competitive. £2.00 for a Nescafé coffee and £2.60 for ham and cheese toasties for example. They don’t do main meals, but well worth a visit for a drink or snack.”
