Rustic atmosphere in Oldham

“Great people who serve amazing food. The jacket potatoes are definitely the best around. The chilli and the chicken curry are absolutely spot on and breakfast buttys are always mouth watering.”

“We booked the Daisyfield for a Confirmation party. They offered a cold buffet and a choice of hot pies. We choose a mixture of both and were very impressed with the high quality, portion sizes and value for money. The children had an absolute ball playing in garden to the rear. There were chickens and rabbits for them to see plus some play equipment. As it was Easter Sunday there was also a DJ and Easter egg hunt. All in all we were made to feel very welcome and great atmosphere. Good time was had by all. Thank you.”

“Visited on Saturday at around 2:30pm and was very pleased with the service. I was seated by Paige, who was exceptionally accommodating — her approach was impeccable. Even when a customer at the neighbouring table became verbally rude and, in my view, aggressive, Paige maintained her composure and handled the situation extremely well.”

“On the way home did a late stop just before closing time.. They didn't hesitate to serve, very friendly staff and helped with the options. Genuinely the food was amazing just the way we wanted it. The flavor was on point and not over powering. The curry complemented the rest of the food, more than enough for 2 people. I will be trying this again. The place has been kept clean?, tables clean and open space. Family friendly environment.”

Me and my other half come in here sometimes and I can say we are never disappointed. The lady and gentleman who own this place are very accommodating and so kind. “First trip to Oldham town centre for almost 50 years! Oldham road once had pubs on almost every corner as you headed there from Manchester City Centre, many from the long gone Oldham brewery. Madge fancied a trip on the Metro and we spotted this pub in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide. Well worth the trip for just this corner pub. A bank of ten real ales. Great vibe plus a front pavement seating area. Madge found a new Oldham brewery..We are Wolf. Bar snacks incl sausage rolls. Great visit.”

“We stayed in the B&B for one night. Fabulous place and views. Really comfortable, quiet and clean room. The breakfast was delicious and our host Alice was very friendly. We will definitely be back.”

“The place to go in Royton - and Oldham for that matter - for craft beer. The menu is always changing with great choices from various breweries from across the UK. The atmosphere is always good and you're always given a friendly welcome. The food is great too, be it the in-house burgers or the various street food vendors that come into the kitchen, too.”

“My wife and I visit Scona every Sunday morning for a treat whilst our kids are at a local yoga class. The scones are AMAZING, obviously, but so are the breakfasts and drinks. Excellent service, too. Roll on Sunday! :)”

“We turned up as a party of 5, late notice on a Sunday evening after a long drive from the West Country. Despite the kitchen about to close, the lady who served us was extremely accommodating and we were soon served with absolutely lovely Sunday roast dinners; delicious food and plenty of it, nothing was too much trouble. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Lovely atmosphere and a nice clean and friendly pub.”

“I cannot fault this Inn! Having wanted to visit the Navi for a few years after visiting the area. I finally got around to it this weekend. What a treat! The Inn is very welcoming and cosy as soon as you walk in and has been finished to a high standard. However, the true gem in the crown is the food! A great selection to meet any requirements and a fantastic list of specials! All the food was delicious, and I would highly recommend it to all!”

“Visited today, with my friend and my toddler. They didn’t have many options for kids but that’s fine as my son was more interested in a sausage roll from the bakery. The food me and my friend had though was absolutely delicious, really well made. The coffee was really good quality too, a really well made cup of coffee not burnt or too hot.”

“Large function room and friendly staff. There is also a large beer garden on the side of the pub and a carpark. Ideal place for a quick catch up with friends or a quick pint with the family. The weavers arms also likes to entertain and have charity events and jam nights on a Wednesday, highly recommended if you like live music or play an instrument or just do a little karaoke. They have a tap room with a pool table and darts board and also have teams that play for the pub. Good atmosphere and good people if you're looking for a new local, I recently had a surprise party there and it was an awesome night.”

“My wife and I came for lunch, having previously visited for drinks a few weeks ago. We are trying all the local eateries as we will shortly be moving here. The staff were very welcoming and attentive and it all seemed very well organised. The food was excellent and we both really enjoyed the Sunday Dinner menu which was available on bank holiday Monday. Decor is really nice and the pub has a welcoming feel. Nice to see dogs are welcomed in the bar and garden areas. Will most definately be returning”

“Nice, old-fashioned very traditional British pub with a cool back room where bands play. Friendly service and a good atmosphere, the back room is small so perfect for an intimate gig. Good selection of beers on at the bars including Robinson's Trooper which is a personal fave!”

“Been twice recently, once for breakfast once for a carvery. Both time the food was fantastic, hot, fresh and tasty. The chef came over both times making sure everything was OK and had a chat when we had finished our meals, bar staff are lovely and welcoming too.
