I’d had a bad experience in the past so was quite reluctant to try again but after reading reviews and speaking with Dawn on the phone I decided to give it a go again. I’m really glad I did as I’m feeling a lot better and can see I’m making progress. Dawn is very easy to talk to/open up to and is friendly and professional. “To the best care team in the business, I am writing to you to make you aware of the absolute credit the staff on this ward are to the NHS! After my partner being admitted for 24hours the care was fantastic around the clock. From pre and post op assessments and medications to care and compassion given, we can not fault anybody what so ever. In particular the support worker Nicky(or Vicky) and the nurse Louise(or Leanne) these ladies were exceptional in caring for my partner during a very sensitive procedure. I would just like to send my gratitude and thanks to them and the rest of the team as I know from experience in the field myself it's no single person, but the multiple professionals that contribute to the care provided. The other departments are not over looked either the doctor and anaesthetist were also amazing I just couldn't possibly remember all the names (evidently!) Ps apologies for the possible name mix up it has been a very long 24hrs however I absolutely needed to send my thanks and praise to this department. I hope this email reaches them so they are reminded just how incredible and important they are in the roles they do everyday! Many thanks From an extremely grateful patient and partner! “I was admitted to SDEC, assessed quickly and transferred to AMU for overnight assessment. The day after I was fitted with a pacemaker in the morning and came home in the afternoon. I was given excellent care and attention in all departments. I had no delays. I was also expecting the food not to be good but it was fine with choices for every meal. Thank you to all at Stepping hill, especially ward A in the AMU and the surgical team”
