Sit down dinner in Manchester

“I just happened upon this place as I was walking along the canal at Broadheath. A young couple were sitting on the tow path eating a pizza. “Is it good?” I asked. “Delicious” was the reply. Decided to give it a go. The owner was a delightful fella who is clearly passionate about the food he is serving. Other customers in the place were all there due to “word by mouth”. The menu has the usual stalwarts but also more authentic pizzas too. I had the Friarielli & Nduja. Delicious. The pizza dough was the freshest and lightest that I have EVER had. I felt that I’d had an authentic pizza made by someone who cares rather than a portion-controlled production line made by an employee of a massive company paying minimum wage. A wonderful discovery and I shall visit again. They have a bigger premises in Sale btw. Ciao.”

“Super Smash makes amazing burgers! We tried the Pachos Smash Up, Juicy Lois, and the Original Crispy Chicken Burger. The Pachos Smash Up was our favourite, crispy chicken and juicy beef in one burger! Everything here is fresh because they grind their own meat and mix it themselves. You can really taste the difference. We’ll definitely be back!”

“What a gem of a place. This is one of the most authentic and pleasent Italian places I had the pleasure to eat at in a very long time. Let's say that if I lived in theare me and my girlfriend would most definitely weight a few more stones/Kgs. As well as the food it is cosy, attentive stuff, quick enough service (to not make you think they want you out of the door) definitely a must try.... Book of you can as space is limited.”

We kicked things off with the starter platter, and honestly? Every single item stole a tiny piece of my heart. Fresh, bold, nothing hanging around in the kitchen too long—the dishes landed on our table quicker than my nephew spots Pidgey (my pet pigeon) on the bannister. Then came the lamb shank… unbelievably tender. It didn’t just “fall off the bone”—it practically handed in its resignation. Silky, rich, and cooked with the sort of patience I wish my smart meter had. My wife’s dishes were just as impressive. Every bite looked like it transported her somewhere peaceful—meat and chicken both juicy enough to make you rethink every dry dish you’ve ever tolerated in life. I didn’t manage to grab photos of everyone else’s food, but trust me, the table was full of happy faces and clean plates. If you’re thinking about coming here for dinner, do it. The food’s on point, the service feels natural, and the décor gives the place a warm, modern charm. Fully recommend.”

“This is our Fifth time in here. Never failed. We had the Brunch menu, my Lily had crêpe and she said it is tastes like pancakes which she likes very much. And my Ami had a nice chicken burger. “A taste of authentic Mexican culture nestled within the hustle and bustle of Manchester’s curry mile. Don Tacos flagship cuisine is their delectable birria offering, and is perfect for a Friday evening takeaway (which this brief review describes). Our party sampled a range of items from the menu including birria tacos, burritos, quesadilla and tacos. The food, as usual, was delicious. It’s on the expensive side for the portions you get, but I’d say it is still reasonable value. As per any good Mexican culinary establishment, Jarritos were available. I recommend pineapple or mango. Delivery seemed efficient, with a reasonable speed and items arrived in good condition. The packaging is elegant and tasteful. This review will stop here for now, but more details will follow on a dine-in experience, which I greatly look forward to soon.”

“We went on Saturday 20th Sept despite the terrible weather. Table for four. The food was amazing as always, great choice starters and mains. I often skip lunch when going here to enjoy the duck and pancakes, as well as a main never disappoints. Fillet steak Cantonese is always a good choice. Great service and kindness . They have added an internal porch to reduce drafts for the winter . Very well tested last night in the weather. Enjoyed the evening thank you”

There was 25 of us and the waitress Carly was extremely professional and brought the food out table by table (we had 6 tables in total). Everyone commented how amazing the whole experience was.”

“Been here twice and can't fault the place. The lunch special cheese and onion pie was really tasty. Also had a breakfast Omelette here and would recommend. The staff were friendly and the food prices reasonable. Place was clean and had a nice atmosphere. When ordering I was warned it might be a 20 minute wait however food arrived within 10 minutes. The food was hot, loved the homemade chips and fresh salad. They had a lovely children's corner with colouring books and ramped access at the front door. Only gave 4 stars for the food because they only use 2 eggs for the Omelette which compared to elsewhere is a little stingy. Will return again”

“I've been to this place many times and not once it has disappointed me. The italian potatoes, the pizza and the pasta is nothing but delicious. It comes for a decent prize and the staff are very talkative and i would recommend this for anyone who lives in the trafford council and outside as well as this place has every italian dish you can think of and also it's warm most of the time.”
