“Went as a couple to celebrate a birthday, easy to book online with SMS confirmation and a reminder. Seated to within a few minutes if arriving. We were placed to the back where it's a larger open plan room and were sat next to a large group, also celebrating with noisy (well behaved just noisy) children and where the cutlery station is. As I had a headache, I asked if we could be moved to a table near the front and the gentlemen kindly moved us to a quiet "nook". Think he was the manager, really appreciated this. We were served by William; friendly, knowledgeable and funny. Checked on whether we wanted additional drinks and gravy, and timed it when we didn't have food in our mouths :) We had the Sunday sharer, hats off to Alex the grill chef. Food was hot, portions are decent. 2 big fluffy Yorkshires and the meat was cooked just as ordered, not fatty and very juicy. Would recommend.”

“I popped into Sykes for the first time today and had a lovely breakfast with butchers sausages and bacon, perfectly cooked eggs and all the trimmings. The coffee was delish! The welcome was genuine and service friendly, as always from Mancunians. A great place to grab a quality bite to eat, recommended.”

“I use this Chippy anytime I want A Chippy Tea or a Chinese... - Their Chinese food is excellent - always cooked fresh and just what you order... The Chippy side is also freshly cooked - They don't cook 20 portions at a time - so your chips are going to be fresh! (You might have to wait a few minutes...) I have been going here for over 10 years and never had a problem... The Gravy is nice if you want Pudding, Chips and Gravy - (Sometimes a problem with Chinese chippy's!)”

“Met a friend for dinner after work (no reservations) and we had the early diner set meal. Mixed starters, salt & pepper prawns and sweet & sour chicken for mains with egg fried rice and pineapple fritters with icecream to finish. Everything was delicious! Menu highlights were the chicken and the seaweed starter. I had an espresso with my pudding too and it was the nicest coffee I’ve had in ages.”

“Had to try this after a recommendation and I wasn't disappointed. The lad on the front was cheerful and made me feel welcome. so I chose the mix of chicken and lamb shawarma in a fresh fluffy tasty samoon bread with salad and it was perfect. And only a fiver as well Then chose the halloumi tray with chips and salad including hummus, pickled cabbage and other healthy fresh veg tables . The halloumi is the best I have ever had no joke. Absolutely fabulous food and great value would highly recommend and will be back.”

I have the Uber Eats app and their service is always fast and the food is always in perfect condition - if cookie dough, it’s still lovely and warm, and if ice cream it’s always still cold and in tact. The food is so tasty it’s always a joy ordering from The Dessert Cafe. Even going into the cafe itself, the owner is very friendly and the service in itself is wonderful. Will be a loyal customer of this place for a long long time.”

“The BEST NAAN so far!!!! After a shopping trip to IKEA thought we would drop by for a quick bite, never been to this place before and what a hidden gem it is. This place has a good atmosphere and the service was exceptional. There was so much on the menu and like all other sharwama places all the same, this place did the best and most delicious NAAN compared to other places the food here was excellent even the staff was friendly. We ordered the mince seekh kebab and chicken sharwarma, wanted the mix with lamb but its so popular it was gone. We was suprised when the staff brought us some lentil soup we was not expecting, that was tasty and a good dip to dip with the kebab and naan. The salad was non to fault it was very good even to the napkins lol the quality from start to finish was excellent The price was not bad either you get alot for the money, If you have not tried this place don’t walk, RUN to this hidden gem you will not be disappointed. Try out the NAAN.”

We had the pleasure of Ellie waiting on us, she was so attentive, friendly and chatty and a credit to the team who work there. Highly recommend”

“We went here for a family meal and had a fantastic time. The food was excellent and fairly priced, service friendly and efficient and the atmosphere was very pleasant. Vegans and vegetarians are well catered for and the cakes are lovely. We loved all the old railway themed memorabilia and equipment and our dog was welcome in the cafe.”

“Me and my wife were looking for an Italian for lunch after a killers concert. We found this place and absolutely loved it. It's a small family owned place and the owner and other staff made us feel very welcome. The food is authentic Italian. I had a pizza and my wife the lasagna.
