“Was an absolute pleasure coming here, honestly the best pizza I've ever had, such a great variety of pizza and pasta and such great service, I couldn't have asked for more, we were treated more like friends than customers which in my book goes a long way. You can either sit inside or outside which is covered, parking can be an issue but there is plenty of street park nearby, and the overall experience was excellent, if I could rate this 10 stars I would, so if your nearby call in you won't be disappointed and we will certainly be going back here. “Love love love!! What a great pub. We are first timers and came down to the Devvy last week for the 125th anniversary day and what an atmosphere, the place was jumping! All the bar staff and the owners were all dressed in outfits from different decades, it was fab! Very friendly too. Goats in Trees were our favorite, they were electric. We will definitely be back ❤️”

“Got a tip off a local foodie page on Facebook and visited with my friend. Wow was well worth the 40 min drive. Very attentive service and the food was amazing. They use local produce so the menu varies day by day . We got there early and it was full by the time we left make sure you book. Will definitely return to sample more.”

“Great historic location with many interesting aspects of life during WWII. Nice friendly staff with lots of knowledge, well worth the small sum of £5 for entry. Called into the museum the day after attending the Shuttleworth evening flying display this weekend, If I lived nearer I would visit regularly. Credit to all those enthusiasts involved.”

“The park is easy to access off Barkers Lane across a bridge over the river and into the car parks area. One is straight on and there's another to the left after going through the Park gates. The cafe is located by the car park that is straight ahead. Toilets are behind the cafe. Wheelchair access is via a ramp. Dogs aren't allowed in the cafe but there is a large deck seating area out front where dogs are allowed. The country park has picturesque lakes, river walks woodland walks and large open grassy areas for picnics and playing with the dog. There is a large enclosed play area for the children. Fishing is available and the site does observe the close season, see the notice boards for details. There is also a sailing club for those who like to get out on the water. Birdwatchers won't miss out either because there is a lot of wildlife in the park with purpose built hides around the main lake. The main lake has a tarmac path all the way around and is good for wheelchairs etc, it's nice and level, wide too. To go all the way round is 1.3 miles and about 45 minutes. Enjoy”

“This is one of the nicest country parks I know in the area and provides a lovely day out. There’s free car parking for starters and a large and decent cafe at the entrance, which has loads of seating and is open daily. The whole site is well kept and while walking round the lake there’s loads of benches to sit and admire the view. For those with a particular interest in wildlife there’s plenty of signage explaining what you’re able to spot, and a number of covered shelters for proper bird watching. Each of the viewing spots has sweet wooden carved names and there’s a few sculptures along the way to admire too. There’s a couple of walking routes you can take, as well as a nature reserve in the centre, although they request dogs are kept out of there. Once you’re finished with the park there’s the village next door, plus a handful of different pubs easily accessible and pointed out on the maps. A great place and I’ll certainly be returning for a summers day out.”

“Wow. Delicious food and great selection of drinks. Friendly staff and reasonable prices too. We had a selection of the wings, okra fries, loaded fries and one of the jubilee specials dishes. There were four of us and needless to say all dishes were clear at the end. It’s situated right beside the river in Bedford, so great location. We will be visiting again. Thanks so much”

“Really interesting place to visit, once the headquarters of the Panacea Society and home of 'Octavia,' the daughter of God (according to the followers,!) The Society was a Southcottian sect that really established itself in the years following the Great War and when the last member died in the first decade of the 21st century the Society ended and a charitable trust took over the properties and opened them as a museum. It's a fascinating window into a movement that was very significant in the 1920's and 30's but has largely been forgotten now. The museum is a real time capsule and it's free to visit. Peaceful gardens, preserved interiors, an incredible story and knowledgeable staff and volunteers. If you're in Bedford it's a must!”

“We held our Pearl Wedding anniversary celebrations here and the service, food, venue were absolutely fantastic. Beccy and the team work tirelessly to make everyone feel welcome and make everything run smoothly without any hitches. The outdoor area was beautifully set up and decorated tastefully with music and lighting into the evening it was perfect. Could not have asked for a better day.”

“Addison Howard Park is truly a hidden gem in Kempston! The park impresses with its beautifully maintained green spaces and peaceful atmosphere, making it perfect for family walks, jogging, or relaxed picnics on sunny days. The newly updated playground is fantastic – safe, colorful, and well-designed, offering plenty of fun for children. I also appreciate the variety the park offers – there are sports courts, an outdoor gym, and large open spaces where you can walk your dog. Everything is clean, well-kept, and welcoming to visitors. The park also regularly hosts events, so there’s always something interesting happening. Access is easy, with parking available on-site. However, it would be even better if there were more trash bins throughout the park and easier access to toilets, especially for families with young children. For me, Addison Howard Park is still the perfect place to take a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life – I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a friendly and refreshing outdoor space! The newly updated playground is fantastic – safe, colorful, and well-designed, offering plenty of fun for children.”

“This is the local park (along with Priory Country Park) for anyone living in east Bedford. I've included pictures of the Embankment, the Boating Lake and the river as they are so close but Russell Park itself is already full to the brim with lovely walks, an extensive playground (with an accessible section), The Kiosk that serves wonderful smoothies and has public toilets, and a mini golf. A lot of events are held here (Bedford Running Festival, main act at the River Festival, amusements, etc.) and it's the perfect spot for a summer picnic, an autumn leaf-focused romp, a winter stroll or a spring wildlife watching exercise.”

“You will feel like you are in the African savanna. I suggest you to take at least two tours. Some wild animals come out to the area for you to watch after 13:00 or 14:00. Also, consider the happiness that the naughty monkeys will give you by making adrenaline rage inside you. It is a wonderful feeling.”

“Just back from an epic day at the Herring Green farm. My family and I had booked my husband an eagle experience which I would highly recommend. The falconer Erin was fantastical she took time to show us so many of the eagle and some eagle owls. My husband held and flew the massive beautiful birds and really enjoyed his experience. We had young children with us and there was lots to play on and keep them amused. All staff were very welcoming and friendly We went on a Sunday and it was very quiet which was perfect for us to look around.”

“We order from this place regularly and it just gets better and better. I have had the meat and the vegan options and both are superb ! I have stopped ordering pad Thai when I go to other restaurants because it never lives up to Thai to walk !!”

“We have been to Woburn many times over the years, and it’s always enjoyable. The weather was excellent. Most of the animals were out and about when we visited this time. The grounds looked well kept. We didn’t see many monkeys this time, and am not sure why they were “hiding” from us. We like to poke around the shop and have an ice cream. It’s was a great day. Thanks for a good experience. I would recommend it.”

“This is a great place for a walk, and really great if you have kids that like to run around a lot and like wind turbines. Parking is reasonably priced, but not free. The visitor's centre is a beautiful building which has information, a shop, and a cafe inside. Dogs are welcome in the cafe. Outside of that is a playground area with swings, slides, and a good network of ropes as a climbing frame.”
