βWe visited yesterday 09-08-25 for lunch after turning up to surprise the grandchildren who were holidaying at the Haven Caravan site down the road . A nice relaxed atmosphere where we were soon found a table for 8 and our waitress Hazel looked after us brilliantly, the restaurant is clean and tidy as well are the toilets, we had a mixture of foods all of which were very good indeed. I had the 10oz Ribeye tasty and cooked to perfection. For afters Hazel recommended the black forest gateau and she wasn't wrong a beautiful slice of heaven on a plate. I would like to thank Hazel so much for making us feel welcomed and looking after us all so well.β
βWe had the 2 x course Sunday roast, Β£32 per head. Fabulous food - I had roast beef and chocolate peanut butter dessert.. one of the best meals I've ever had. Book early as it's very popular.β
βWe went to celebrate a special anniversary- a group of 12. Waitresses were lovely and took our orders quickly. Everyone in the group had a different meal and they all came out in a reasonable time and looked delicious. The whole family agreed that it was the best meal out theyβd had in a while. If we ever come back to Great Yarmouth Iβll definitely be coming here to eat.β
βThis is the best Indian I have had. It was an absolute pleasure to dine at The Merchants Of Spice 2 Norwich, Norfolk. A real authentic warm ambiance, I loved the music & the big round table we had was perfect for the six of us.The food quality is unmatched, really clean feel, The tika platter is a must the lamb Rogan josh was superb also. The naan was perfect with a slight toasted bottom, quite unique & tasted lovely. The service second to non, staff polite & more than ready to help us. Nish the owner was up front & center he can be very proud of his restaurant, this is number 2 I believe & I have no doubt theyβll be a number 3 in the future. Thank you for a great night. Oh also I must add thereβs a very big spacious car park which was lovely because normally thatβs the biggest nightmare. Was lovely to have onsite parking. We traveled in two cars so that was a big help.β
βAs someone from central London, Bangladeshi restaurants are a dime a dozen. But this restaurant, which is 15 mins away from the Great Yarmouth beachfront offered such a lovely enjoyable meal. The King prawn puree was the best I've tasted. The sweet chilli chicken was flavourful and so tender. The daal is so authentic. Service was great and pricing seems very reasonable against the quality offered. Highly recommend. The people who live in the area are very lucky!β
βPerfect for our needs, good base for travelling north Norfolk. Excellent food, wonderful accommodation and all of the staff made us feel welcome. We will definitely be back. Pauline and Worzelβ
βWent here last night on recommendation & was not disappointed. Food was amazing staff was very friendly & knowledgeable. It has been so hard to find somewhere that serves good food. We will be returning again soon.β
βWe Moored up with the boat at the Lion was a great first stop. The pub was great with real ales and ciders. Ut was really full but we managed to get a seat outside. I'm glad we did I had ham egg and chips. A simple meal were mistakes can be made. I would recommend, lovely placeβ
βSuperb food in a beautiful restaurant, with excellent service. What more could you want. The lamb is especially recommended!β
βStones throw from Womack Staithe where I was moored. Great food, quick service. What more can you ask for?β
βNice inn, the beds were comfortable, the rooms with all 21st century appliances had a little "Jane Austen times" look. The Full English breakfast was great and the staff very friendly.β
βHonestly was the best roast me and my partner have ever had! Portion sizes are really good and price is amazing for the quality of a roast you get. The staff were so friendly and service was quick! Such a lovely vibe. We have already organised to come back with family and have recommended to everyone we know!β
βA few years back this was residents only and not open to the public, however under a different ownership it is now open to all. They have bingo on a Tuesday which isnβt my thing and the participants do not like a lot of noise so steer clear if youβre in a group and not a fan of bingo. Thursdays from around 15:30 is very lively with a great atmosphere and the locals are really friendly and welcoming. Food is good and especially the portion size. The bar staff are amazing especially Kelly who looked after us during our visits. The venue is dog friendly which is an added bonus for me with my 2 border collies. Weekends they have live music and encourage you to dance. The place is decorated very nice, clean and very welcoming. If you a holidaying locally such as Park Deans I highly recommend a visit.β
βStopped for a pint..ended up with the best home made pie I've had in years...so good...price was excellent too. Served by a very friendly member of staff....fabulous pint too!β
βGreat food, attentive staff, good portions. It was our first visit to Bar 1 and staff were very kind and welcoming. Lots of choice of drinks and food. We ordered B1 Burger and Barbecue wings. Delicious food at a reasonable price.β
βOur "local" when we visit Woolacombe. And we are remembered. The menu is small but absolutely lovely. The staff are friendly but very professional. Definitely worth a visit.β

βWe had a fantastic holiday here. Absolutely amazing location. Our little dog Jasper had the time of his life with the beach just a few steps away. Highly recommended.β
βA fantastic meal for the 3rd time this week.even though I asked if it would be possible to have something that wasn't on the menu. Great service always with a smile and nothing is to much trouble. The pub it self is welcoming comfortable, clean and lots of facilities, like pool table, darts.even a small pool in the garden and really good sounds on the JB. All in all couldn't recommend enough. A must visit if you looking for somewhere to have a meal or just a drink.β
βBeautiful picturesque pub on the side of the river. Perfect location for fresh fish of the day which was haddock with chips. Service super nice staff welcoming and friendly to newcomers. Also I love that the pub played modern music and everyone seemed really down to earth. The toilets were really clean. Beautiful to come here on a lovely sunny day and sit outside to chill. Lovely to see children running around freely playing nicely with one another. Would recommend and would return for the fresh fish and a refreshment.β
βCanβt believe weβve never been here before! The staff were so friendly and the food was delicious β decent portion sizes and good prices! We came here for lunch and would happily return to experience what itβs like in the evening.β
βAbsolute mad house, kids loved it. If you like sipping a pint, and be between a scarlet macaw and a parakeet having a sound battle, this is the place to go. Great place for a very generous meal, and for the kids to be entertained. My only, only recommendation is they get some bigger tables in. I was surprised for such a spacious place they didn't have many tables suitable for parties or 5+, and there is so much room for it.β
βHad a fantastic time at The Ocean Rooms on Saturday watching Andy Ottley. Really nice club. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food was good.β
βFantastic night Saturday! Great friendly atmosphere, and your little barmaid with the really short dark hair is a huge asset to you. Every round she asked me "are they doubles? Save you coming back to the bar so quick" who could resist that stunning cracking smile that melts ya, doubles they were, we fell for it everytime, and if we did, so did others! Haha! Superb night! Thank you. See you all next year.β
βTap takeover by Ossett brewery! Brilliant!! Great beer in a great pub.β
βWe joined these guys for the valentines meal. Β£25 for 3 outstanding courses! Service felt personal and caring, little extra touches on the tables and the food had so many wonderful combinations we couldn't fault it.β
βHad a friend visiting the area who couldn't wait to go to the beach so, after a stroll along the promenade we called into The Fig. They confirmed we could take our little dog in (to the rooftop area). The sun was shining and it was teatime so it was the perfect setting & view. Ordering was easy via the QR code on the table. Seats were comfy and not to crammed in. The food was amazing when it came out. Good portion size a fantastic flavours. I would have also sampled the cocktails...but I was driving! Next time I'll take the hubby and he can drive lol. Service was excellent too. Very friendly staff.β
