“Great school friendly staff my son loves it there”
“I have helped here with right to read for many years and there is a good caring atmosphere.”
“I currently go to this school as a year 6, my experience so far is AMAZING! The staff are amazing, the teachers are nice and the headteacher is extremely kind. Parents reading this, you should send your children to this school.”
“My son has high-functioning ASD and SEN and had been bullied at a previous school. He attended this school and completed slightly fewer GCSEs, but to a very high standard about 3 years ago and moved onto A levels. It's a lovely small and pleasant school, that provides an education environment that supports a more tailored education, considering the needs of individual children. The tutors and almost all of the teachers are very supportive and caring. The school is very inclusive, providing small class sizes, and differing classes that support the learning experience of a wide range of abilities. The small size of the school adds transparency and they take bullying very seriously, work to discourage this type of culture, and deal with any reported instances in a timely and effective manner, with consideration for all concerned, rather than paying lip service to this on the website! A great school for a well-rounded education for children, who will have the opportunity to make a peer group of friends. It is well worth the fees!! Great national, and international trips if you can find the cash for that too. The wool blazer can be a bit prickly and looks a bit like a Christmas tree, but you can always talk to them about that or have a note from the GP if this is a problem and that will not be an issue either. Good luck to you, it's not been an easy road for my son, but this school was a real find and we will both treasure the memories and support that we received at the school. The High and Grammar provide buses/coaches you can use to get your child to the school and this works very well if you live a distance from the school, as we did. It's a shame they cannot provide A levels and the transfer to the next school can be an issue and worth getting started on an EHCP with Hollygirt if your child requires that support because follow-on schools can be less accommodating in the provision of much-needed support without one compared with Hollygirt. Most children seem to enter a main steam college and these seem to be good at catering to a wider range of abilities and SEN, so look around at all the options and never give up! I can't recommend this school highly enough.”
“Brilliant nursery with really friendly staff. Our daughter has been attending since august 2020 and settled in very quickly and loves attending. She speaks of all the children she plays with and loves to talk about the staff and what they have been doing together. The staff really care about the children and nothing is too much trouble. Really good communication throughout the day and any questions are answered which provides reassurance. They offer a wide range of activities and the amount that is available as they get older is great. The children go out in the community and access local resources which is lovely to see. They offer a good variety of home cooked food which our daughter loves. Really happy with our choice of nursery.”

“Great school helps with autism and other disabilities”
“Great School, most of the teachers are excellent who are ready to go for the extra mile. Their ethos is to believe in God, respect others including teachers and other pupils and achieve by hard work. Yes, there are detentions, but it is sometimes needed if there is no response from pupils otherwise. There is no education without strict methods occasionally - teaching and preaching without demanding it is just a utopia and can only result in further deterioration of the society and this is a place they know about it. They have got a healthy balance between curricular and extracurricular education. They are educating the soul, too, not just the mind. Fantastic extracurricular activities! Yes they have limitations in facilities, as they receive less from the state than other schools. In spite of this they are doing very well. All respect and appreciation to them!”
