Mortimer Café
“Amazing food, always friendly service, I go to a lot of cafes in the area but I can honestly say that Mortimers do the best breakfasts for miles around and the latte's are pretty lush too.”

“Excellent breakfast, friendly service. They can make a breakfast as you like it. Highly recommended.”
“Everything was delicious! Queue times are a bit brutal if you’re coming during lunch time on the weekend, but other than that - I can totally see why this place is listed as one of the best restaurants in Reading.”
“Great little spot for tasty, wholesome food in the beautiful Goring. Amazing juices, soups and sandwiches. The shakshuka was one of the best I’ve had! Friendly service and care taken to note your dietary requirements. I’m dairy & gluten free and have no trouble finding something delicious to eat every visit.”
“Great cafe for the walkers, activity centre users and anyone wanting a coffee / bite to eat. Very friendly staff, efficient service and great food as well as being a dog friendly venue.”
“Great atmosphere; the staff are welcoming with friendly and smiley faces. The pasta service was fast and helpful. Tried the Spicy Pollo Pasta and was tasty; it was ‘al dente’ consistency and pasta sizes was decent. Tips are: -you can self order or also order via the counter with helpful staff if it your first time. -they have nice coffee, though also can help yourself to free tap water with glass by the cutlery area. -wide selection of hot and cold food/drinks. -no need to book as the service is fast. Overall I would recommend a try and visit; positive vibes, lively music (was there during a special promotion), modern and fun.”
“Highly recommend! The girl that served me was so lovely, told me about the app and the cakes that were priced at £1 for the day. My drink was lovely, much better than when I get it in the Basingstoke Starbucks.”
