“Well the 5 star award had to come out, first time in 2025. The scones are fantastic. I had the fruit Scone with butter, and the pot of tea was a good strong brew. They topped up the pot with more hot water, excellent customer service. BIG THANK YOU to George who baked freshly on the premises that morning my fruit Scone. We will be back, Sidney enjoyed his doggee biscuit and bowl of water. Yes dogs welcome.”

“Been coming here years but never left a review. Please ignore the oil in the photo, just leave it in the tray like we did lol ordered 1kg boneless Chicken karahi Apna style and it was amazing! Polished it off!”

“Had a wonderful lunch here with my wife earlier today. I had the truffle mushroom on toast and it was delicious. Perfect poached egg too. The service is always really friendly, and the music is always great at Elm - not to mention the coffee! Would recommend this lovely cafe to anyone.”

“I tried the hot chocolate couple of times and a chocolate brownie cake and carrot cake. The cake were delicious and so hot chocolate with it. They also do have range of vegan cakes and cookies. Nice atmosphere in the corner with couch to chat with your friends.”

“Visited today for a festive afternoon tea and it was just fabulous. The service was fantastic, as always, and the extra little touches (Christmas crackers and a beautifully set table) made it feel so special. We had the gluten free option and the food was absolutely delicious. It’s a pleasure to visit somewhere that caters for dietary requirements and is inclusive. “Stayed at the annexe and also had food and drink at the tea room. Room is lovely and perfect base for exploring the area. Tea Room has great food and drink and really welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend both!”

“Blown away by how kind the service was. One of the staff could see I was struggling to eat as I had my newborn with me and offered to take care of my son for a short while so I could eat for a few minutes. Food was great too, crayfish Caesar salad and full English are definitely worth trying. Coffee was also 10/10.”

“Visited on a Friday at 2pm and was welcomed with a hello and asked how many people we needed a table for (2 of us) and were seated straight away. We had a hot drink each (double cappuccino and a pot of tea), toasted fruit loaf, cherry scone with all the trimmings, a slice of coffee and walnut cake and a slice of cherry almond cake. The food was delicious and served promptly. Good selection of cakes on display which all looked delicious, it was hard to choose which one to have! Lovely little space and very friendly staff who served with a smile. Our bill came to a total of £26 which for what we ordered was a reasonable price.”

“First time visit Sunday 5 Oct 2025 -wife and I - I had the full English breakfast the wife had Quiche - served very quickly, the food was delicious would definitely recommend and revisit- sat outside as it was a lovely autumnal day - parked the car 100m up the road in the free car park Sorry for the short sharp sentences I was distracted whilst writing this review but don’t worry about that just get yourself down and grab some decent food and drinks”

“Great meet up place for people looking to get out of the home and do some work. Very friendly staff, food and drinks amazing. It was quite busy but not too loud you couldn’t do any work. I couldn’t connect to WiFi but I think the problem was picnic (problem in chair not in computer) and was just as easy to tether to phone. Will be backed - booked via the reef booking app.”

“First time ever tried over weekend,had lunch with friends.What a beautiful place,well impressed on arrival with the lovely decor and greeting from staff. All the food and drinks ordered were fantastic, generous portions and red hot. It got busier as we were there and some people couldn't be accommodated due to being so busy. Didn't have desserts but they looked very tempting. Lovely outdoor area but the heavens had opened, however must ve very busy in summer. Really lovely venue,would not hesitate to return and recommend.”
