“Having moved recently into the area , I've used this particular store a few times now . All the staff is extremely friendly and helpful . But I would like to mention one member of staff particularly . Dave , the duty manager was an absolute gem in helping me choose the correct items ( which wasn't an easy task ) . I had to return within the hour , realising that the given screws were too long to use . Dave then took it upon himself to take a hacksaw and saw the screws to the correct length . Thank you so much . I will definitely always use this store and can recommend it .”

“Ate at the Alder Tree tonight for the first time, and what a great meal. Had the nachos to share for starter, this was plenty, then the steak with scampi and the mixed grill and wine, plus a couple of drinks to start with all for under £50.00. Beautiful meal well served, so couldn't fault. Will definitely be regulars in the future. Well done all the staff, you deserve it.”

“EXQUISITE!! My family and I had breakfast with Santa on Saturday and what a lovely time we had. After having Santa breakfasts previously at larger establishments, Borders offered a much cozier and comfortable experience. Santa was amazing, popping in and out throughout our time there. The children loved him and it felt very personal. The staff were wonderful and very organised and to top it off the breakfast was great!
