“The cafe inside Tickhill Road Hospital serves fresh cooked food that is sure to satisfy hunger cravings. One standout dish is the extra cheesy lasagne which boasts a deep filling that is truly satisfying. Overall, the cafe is a great place to grab a bite to eat while visiting the hospital or passing by locally.”
“Great friendly staff. Probably the best bacon sandwich to take way I’ve ever had. On a large roll filled with bacon. Deserves five stars.”
“Just got a large meal deal and it is a proper large sandwich Had the B.E.S.T sandwich well worth every penny when my budget allows I'm coming back Thanks”
“Eat here regularly with my daughters. We love it, good food and lovely ladies”
“Tasty sandwiches with that old fashioned theme”
“Excellent café, food great, clean and friendly.”
“Nice little cafe, tea and scone.”
“Dog friendly which is so unusual in Doncaster. Loads of seating. Well priced decent brekkie and the coffee is alright if you’re not expecting something fancy! Perfect pit stop on a nice walk.”
“A small seating area for café patrons, always at or near capacity so be ready to stand for a while. Swings, slides, rope bridges and last time I checked, a small rock climbing area, moving across rather than up so is safer for little ones. A bit of a trek to get there, past at least 2 other playgrounds in YWP. Included in the ticket price for the play. Double doors so wheelchair and mobility scooter access. Always busy and fun for children x..”
“My partner and I had two lovely meals. Really good quality and good value. My coffee which I’m very fussy about was great too. And despite it being busy we didn’t wait long for our food either. We were very impressed. We have had worse meals at expensive restaurants. Staff are friendly and work hard to provide a good service. Supermarket cafes have really upped their game.”
“Everyone happy and nice, ready to help you!”
“We like big Asda always a decent selection of products. George clothing is good value and looks nice in my opinion. Always plenty of parking. Staff are friendly and pleasant Cafe had a children eat for a pound when we popped in. Food was nice. Really well priced.”
“Decent cafe. Good range for a cafe. Prices we're fair the best part was the children eat for a £1 and the friendly staff.”
“Used to walk around here a lot when Trudie was born. Lovely walk.”
“Fantastic breakfast here we come every Sunday with the kids before shopping. Kelsie and the girls are always welcoming and can't do enough to make sure all your needs are met”
“great service! loved our matcha latte”
“i’m soo picky on my coffee and this place’s was 10/10 ! perfect coffee and the interior is really pleasant to sit in + the staff is kind, i’ll be back :)”
“Just want to say a huge thank you to all staff! I was nervous about coming in with two children (personal anxiety) but what a wonderful experience! The spooky milkshakes are a MUST!!! Food was divine! I couldn’t finished mine which was a shame as it was lush! The kids brought left overs home and they can’t wait to come back! Good value! Lovely afternoon Thanks to all staff”
“With a tap selection that is on rotation its a nice surprise to find a new taste each week. The platter boards and honey sausages are lovely. They have regular evening events with karaoke, Greek and Curry nights, live music etc. The Laura and Paul are very knowledgable about any beer related questions you have and are constantly on the search for the next barrel to bring in. Also dog friendly - but they are only allowed the biscuits due to licensing laws.”
“A lovely find, Bean Scene is a charming tea room, serving a daytime menu. Perfect for an after walk get together and lunch. The staff are very friendly and pleasant.”
“Went today for the first time with a work colleague and it was amazing. Will definitely be going again. The food was delicious. The staff were super friendly. It was just an all round great place and at a reasonable cost. This is just what the village needs!”
“Lovely micropub with plenty of cask, draft, can and bottled beers to choose from. Sit back and relax outside on the platform and watch the trains and people rush by. Excellent. Friendly staff and good prices. Good range of Bar snacks available. Excellently and sympathetically restored interior of the old station buffet, which before these guys was relegated to a dilapidated store room after the buffet was shut by British Rail in the early 1990's or there abouts. Will certainly be back. *hopefully those screens on the bar are taken down soon as you have to go to the side of them anyway to get the beer or speak properly to the bartender :)”
“Lovely, dog friendly cafe with delicious cakes and lunches. Also have regular live music. Absolutely wonderful, friendly service. Our dogs are always made super welcome and are often spoilt with a little treat. Great place. Lisa made me a vegan birthday cake last week and it was so good no one realised it was plant based! Everyone loved it!”
“Absolutely beautiful cafe. It’s extremely reasonably priced and you always get a gorgeous home cooked meal, don't know how any one could grumble for under £10. We now come every single week. The staff are always so friendly and welcoming. The only place we would go for food in Tickhill.”
“Visited with daughters for Brunch. Lucky to get a table as always busy. The most difficult thing is choosing from the menu. Everything sounds delicious... And is. We had the full breakfast, the Hudson and a Bagel. Portions are a good size and freshly cooked. The staff are amazing, I wish we could visit more often.”
“I’ve been visiting The Grind for around three years now, and it’s hands down my favourite spot in Doncaster. The owner and staff are always so welcoming and lovely; nothing is ever too much trouble for them. The prices are really reasonable, especially considering the generous portion sizes and the quality of the food. And if you’re into cocktails, you’ll be spoilt for choice; their menu is huge, and every one I’ve tried has been delicious! Highly recommend!”
“Great place to visit, you have to walk from Loversall or Rossington, but it is well worth it”
“Great meet up place for people looking to get out of the home and do some work. Very friendly staff, food and drinks amazing. It was quite busy but not too loud you couldn’t do any work. I couldn’t connect to WiFi but I think the problem was picnic (problem in chair not in computer) and was just as easy to tether to phone. Will be backed - booked via the reef booking app.”
“Absolutely lovely, it's that nice we have put a caravan on permanently, the pub is on site food good ,friendly people”
