“We had a beautiful lunch at this tea room today. I had quiche with new potatoes, salad and coleslaw. My husband had cottage pie with peas. We had to wait a little while as it is cooked to order but well worth waiting for and it arrived piping hot. We ate in The Dog House as we had our dogs with us. We've had tea and cake there before but not had a meal but we'll certainly have a meal there again. A lovely walk round the lake and reasonably priced parking all added to a lovely afternoon out.”

“Had a lovely family walk around the lake at Thrybergh Country Park. The sunny yet Autumnal weather was glorious and the lake was so clear, it was really impressive. The flat and level path around the lake was a nice steady walk and on a Saturday afternoon didn't seem too busy with dog walkers and joggers. Approximately 50% of the path around the lake is relatively new tarmac, with the rest compacted material with a few puddles, but nothing difficult to navigate. The small playground entertained my kids for about half an hour and me and my wife enjoyed a great and competitively priced coffee from the cafe to enjoy on the benches nearby. I was thoroughly impressed with how free from litter the whole county park was. It was noticeably clean and tidy, so the park rangers are clearly doing a fantastic job.”

I had the Adana Kebab which tasted authentic and was absolutely delicous. Finished off with a beautiful turkish coffee. “Found Ella's on a whim as we were in the area and hungry so we popped in, its small but dont let that put you off, menu has a good selection of hot and cold food, we ordered the belly busters and my goodness it was delicious, such a generous portion, with the softest bap i think ive ever had in my life. The 2 ladies were friendly and the prices are very reasonable. Would definitely recommend and would go back if we are in the area again :)”
