“We recently ate here for a family reunion and the staff were incredibly kind to everyone but especially our son who uses a wheelchair and has profound disabilities. They called him Don Lucas (he was sat at the head of the table). They were so thoughtful in ensuring we were all looked after and we spent almost 4 hours enjoying the delicious food and atmosphere. Thank you to all the staff for making us feel so welcome and being disability inclusive. We will be returning for our next family get together.”

“We decided to stop by The Big Smoke for lunch while out and called ahead to reserve a table. The staff were very accommodating, telling us we could arrive in 45 minutes, and upon arrival, they had already prepared a baby high chair, which was a thoughtful touch. The service was friendly and attentive throughout, with the team recommending the day’s specials and checking in on us regularly. Drinks arrived promptly within 5 minutes, though the mains took a little longer, it was nothing too concerning. Overall, we had a pleasant dining experience and would definitely visit again!”

“Large and friendly Asian restaurant, with speedy service. Vegetarian dishes are cooked with vegetable oil, so are generally vegan. I had the vegan Balti Palak Aloo Dhal & mushroom rice, which were absolutely delicious. Would thoroughly recommend.”

“I’ve been coming to this Café for around 7-8 months now, and it’s become a weekly occurrence, great meals and awesome staff; with a great sense of humour. The menu’s great! It pretty much serves everything from breakfast to what you’d take home for Tea. Drinks are great; Coffee and Tea, soft drinks, juices, and milkshakes. Today I had a great Bacon & Cheese Burger with Chips, great meal. I would also recommend the Ham Salad sandwiches, such a nice thing to take home for tea. Always great service.”

“Me and my family went to Nando’s in Parkgate, Rotherham for lunch and had a great experience. It was very busy, but the staff handled it really well—service was still quick and friendly. We’ve been to various Nando’s over the years, and this one really stood out as one of the best. The food was hot, well cooked, and absolutely delicious. Everything arrived fresh and on time, and the staff made sure we were well looked after. We all enjoyed our meals and had a lovely time. Definitely recommend if you're in the area!”

“Great and quick service, ordered the 'Chefs Special' Quad Beef Biscoff Burger, Mrs went with the peanut butter Burger, got a sharer loaded fries, so many options it was hard to make our mind up! delivery was quick and the quality beats any burger place around, will order again soon, I recommend Cali Cruz to every Burger lover, its a banger.”

“Went for Sunday lunch, but I chose from an extensive menu my partner had scampy. I had Scilian chicken, both were delicious and nicely presented at a very reasonable cost. Nice environment and friendly helpful staff. Can definitely recommend”

“The portions were big and food was really tasty with excellent quality, but inside there was a bit cold, they have electric heaters, but it isn't enough to feel warm, so I think it's better to go in summer time and sit outside.”

The whole experience was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. ​The restaurant itself is incredibly cosy, and the entire team was just amazing and attentive. A huge shoutout to Joss, who was absolutely brilliant! Due to a last-minute business trip to Sheffield, we needed a table, and he went above and beyond to fit us in and was so helpful in explaining the menu. ​The food quality truly blew me away. Everything tasted superb, proving the dedication to using fantastic quality local produce. “Great place, fresh and plentiful food. Great staff always make us feel welcome and cook your food in the traditional cafe way. Decor is great with areas themed around movies, toys, games and nostalgia from the past (70's & 80's). Just make sure you take money as it is cash only.”

“There are not enough stars to rate this place. We had no booking, no plan, no nothing. We got a takeaway pizza, exceptional amounts of cheese and chilli, and a taxi ordered + a bottle of wine. 9000000% would return here for all occasions. The staff where beyond lovely. “Moved to Maltby recently and this is the first fish and chips tried. I have family members visiting who are gluten free so picked this one. Lovely fish and chips all round, and lovely service too, friendly, welcoming, speedy, price competitive. Even though I personally don't have dietary needs, I'll order from here going forward in preference to others without the GF options because I appreciate the effort taken.”

“Me and a friend dropped in on Saturday and I was really impressed. I don't write many reviews but we had a good time there. One of the staff called Jess helped me get the rewards app which I didn't even know was a thing, so really happy. Good atmosphere - staff were all smiles. Food is always great at Urban but gotta tip my hat to the salad - cool and fresh just what we needed in 30 degree heat. My new go-to store. Highly recommend.”

“Had Chicken Manthi, Chicken Lollipop, and Neelagiri Special Chicken, all were amazing! The taste and flavor were just like eating back home in Kerala. Perfectly cooked, rich in spice, and full of authentic flavor. Friendly staff and quick service too. Easily one of the best Kerala restaurants in the UK.”

“For me, best cafe in Rotherham town centre. I can't comment on it as a bar (never been on an evening), but it's my go-to for a Saturday morning breakfast. Independent, friendly, good food, reasonably priced. The staff have a good rapport with regulars. Decent music a lot of the time too, which makes a nice change for cafes. I recommend their full breakfasts - I'm not a small fella, and their large breakfast is too much for me! They take card payments, but cash is preferred if possible.”

“The best pizza - Luigi hand stretches all the bases personally, unlike most of the pizza shops around here that use pre-made bases. The prices have barely increased in the 30+ years that this place has been open. He doesn't deliver, he doesn't need to, its that popular. If you want a Friday tea-time pizza phone it in or you will be waiting, it's that popular.”

“It's a clean little sarnie shop. Pop in and order, freshly prepared, then and there. The best bacon, egg, and tomato butty I've ever had. A stack of perfectly cooked bacon and a runny egg. They really take care preparing, neat and tidy and delicious.”

Brilliant details - cloud lightshades against a bright blue ceiling, emerald tabletops, creative cakes, fab eclectic playlist, and rainbows everywhere. Serves Camden brewery beers, and has some cracking cocktail ingredients. Totally loved it.”
