“We decided to stop by The Big Smoke for lunch while out and called ahead to reserve a table. The staff were very accommodating, telling us we could arrive in 45 minutes, and upon arrival, they had already prepared a baby high chair, which was a thoughtful touch. The service was friendly and attentive throughout, with the team recommending the day’s specials and checking in on us regularly. Drinks arrived promptly within 5 minutes, though the mains took a little longer, it was nothing too concerning. Overall, we had a pleasant dining experience and would definitely visit again!”

“Me and my family went to Nando’s in Parkgate, Rotherham for lunch and had a great experience. It was very busy, but the staff handled it really well—service was still quick and friendly. We’ve been to various Nando’s over the years, and this one really stood out as one of the best. The food was hot, well cooked, and absolutely delicious. Everything arrived fresh and on time, and the staff made sure we were well looked after. We all enjoyed our meals and had a lovely time. Definitely recommend if you're in the area!”

“We ordered for the first time tonight and the food arrived piping hot and smelling incredible. I rang to confirm my dish was vegan and the woman I spoke with took the time to confirm my choices - they made sure it would be vegan for me. Each dish was full of flavour and all freshly made - tasty substantial half mushrooms and noodles for me, the chicken dish consisted of large chunks of tasty chicken in the chow mein for one teen and the other ordered your salt and pepper munch box which was heavenly for my teens - all sorts of fried Chinese chicken, ribs, spring rolls, chips which could have fed a family of meat eaters! The food was excellent and great value for money - five stars from us! x”

“We’ve came for Sunday lunch as a table of 6. The service has been impeccable, very quick with bringing the meats out. All the meats were super tender, especially the minted lamb. However I did love the cinnamon pineapple. All the staff were really polite and friendly. I will definitely be coming back!”

“Little hidden gem. Fantastic food, amazing atmosphere, outstanding service and beautiful experience. If you like Italian food this restaurant is best i have ever been in Yorkshire. Food was delicious and waiters were so lovely constantly attended us. It's lovely little restaurant which definitely hit your expectations. It's been run by their family for years. I had amazing time and I will be coming back more often as I enjoyed it so much. I would definitely recommend this to everyone.”

“Me and a friend dropped in on Saturday and I was really impressed. I don't write many reviews but we had a good time there. One of the staff called Jess helped me get the rewards app which I didn't even know was a thing, so really happy. Good atmosphere - staff were all smiles. Food is always great at Urban but gotta tip my hat to the salad - cool and fresh just what we needed in 30 degree heat. My new go-to store. Highly recommend.”

The food is beautiful and soo hot, the service is welcoming and very friendly, its a family run restaurant and you really get that feeling from the atmosphere. “visited again 12:00 on saturday, after two years. the meals ordered were delicious. the chilli beef was medium spicy. the lamb rump was tender, the slow roasted beef was good. meals were in generous portions. they were value for money. remember look for special menu broads A late lunch 3:30pm today, have a delicious and good generous portion of ox tail & mesh potato meal. if you enjoy ox tails, you should try this dish when it is still on a special menu”

“We had a fabulous overnight stay at the Pebley Inn. It has a lovely deck outside overlooking the countryside, luckily we had a lovely autumn night to make the most of it. We were greeted at check in by the lovely Olivia, it was such a warm friendly welcome and she continued to look after us all night. We stay in a lot of pubs on our travels and don't normally get such amazing service. Food delicious. Beers kept well. Warm atmosphere in the pub. Room well equipped. The whole night was excellent.”

“We went for lunch and on arrival the place was buzzing but noisy. Being just a party of 2 the staff were very understanding and we eventually moved to a quieter part of the bar. The food was outstanding. Specific requests were accommodated without fuss. The beef was tender and tasty. We had a thoroughly pleasant experience. “Went in on a Friday night, nobody in, no takeaways cooking and was very worried but had read the good reviews on google. Glad I went in as the takeaway was the best I have had in years. Fresh and tasty food that doesn’t taste laden with MSG! Will definitely be returning!!”

“Great tasty food, hospitable waiters and reasonably priced curry. They even have gluten free roti/chappati. My curry wasn't full of sugar or heaps of oil. Only negative was that the alcohol is a little expensive considering it's just small beer bottles, not a pint on tap.”

“Having a relative in the hospital up the road, finding this pub was a godsend. Excellent menu choice and unbelievable value for money. I can highly recommend the fish and chips, Gammon and the Surf and turf. Portions are spot on and the price is great. What makes the pub though are the staff. They make you feel like a regular as you order your first drink. Even though I live over 20 miles away I will make a point of continuing to visit this pub and work my way through the menu!”

“This place is a hidden gem that no one seems to know about so I'm sharing this secret with you all as I was so impressed with the food and service. I been here with my partner for a meal over Easter. it was lovley Two for a Tenner u can't go wrong here! You might think because of the cheap price tag you may get poor quality food however this is not the case here! The food is top quality at a very good price! We had hunters chicken and pie of the day (steak and mushroom.) The pie was packed with meat and flavour the chips were lovley it all came out very quickly and was hot and tasted great my partner loved the hunters chicken too. The drink selection was reasonable but its the food I will be coming back for. Overall a great visit that I will be repeating sometime soon.”
