“Although Winchester does have a number of pizza restaurants already, The Pizza Tavern is a great new addition. As it's not a big chain, you're getting great quality pizzas and supporting a local independent business. My pizza was delicious, and I thought it was very fairly priced for the quality. The service was friendly and efficient, and I liked the rustic setup in the restaurant. It's not somewhere I feel you would go for an 'evening out' as when I visited, there were not any starters or desserts offered, but it is great for a quick meal if you're out and about or at the start of an evening out. I will definitely be back.”

“Exceptional attentive but not over the top service from Arati at Winchester. Really busy fully booked restaurant on the Friday before christmas. Lots of large tables but as a table 3 we did not feel left out. Drinks came out quickly, really good quality and well priced food. Very loud atmosphere so 4 stars here. Will be back again for sure.”

“We visited on a Saturday evening. Glad we booked a table as the restaurant was rather busy. Seated upstairs, a little bit cramped and a tad noisy. Pizzas that we ordered arrived fairly quickly. Probably one of the best pizzas I've had at a restaurant. Would definitely recommend.”

“Wow! Iv ordered From here before but ordered the Bassit special meal this evening and whole family is very impressed . There is sooo much food! 2 medium pizzas, fluffy soft dough and they don’t skimp on the topping and tasted great. 2 medium kebabs great size and salad was fresh and you get loads, we haven’t even touched the box of chicken and chicken wing s yet or the garlic bread . Came with a bottle of Full fat coke which makes a nice change from the diet crap most takeeay places give you for free. It looks like we have a a new favourite takeaway . Thank you!”

“We had booked a table for 8 of us for a family birthday celebration lunch. Some of our party were late arriving but the staff were very understanding and let us have the table for an hour before ordering our food. James, our server, was friendly and funny and kept us supplied with drinks and snacks until we were all together and ready to order. Prices were reasonable. Definitely recommend the peking duck roll, eel unagi & salmon nagiri. The menu has a ton of items so be prepared to be overwhelmed at first! There’s something for everyone. Server was really nice and attentive during our visit. 10/10”

Their drinks menu is also impressive, with refreshing options that perfectly complement the meal. We were wandering around town looking for somewhere to have a late lunch and all of the chain restaurants on the high street were rammed, so we decided to stray off the beaten track and check this place out. So glad we did! The staff were very friendly and the food and drinks were utterly exquisite. We had the squid and Vietnamese spring rolls to start, both delicious with fresh ingredients. The braised aubergine and tofu was phenomenal with an incredibly rich and mouthwatering sauce. The rare beef pho was similarly great with very tender beef, probably the best I’ve had outside of Vietnam. Couldn’t recommend this place more, we will definitely be coming back!”

“We had a delightful evening for a group of 8. The staff were excellent and super friendly, we were made very welcomed. The restaurant was clean with good decoration and a had a really nice vibe. The food was excellent and really delicious. I ordered the railway lamb which was recommended and it didn’t disappoint. Keema naan had all the flavour you could hope for and the aloo gobi had a brilliant blend of spices. Just delicious. Really is a delightful restaurant at a fair price. Will go back the next time I visit Winchester.”
