“Excellent holiday home. Very comfortable surroundings and the owners are lovely too. Be aware, the track to the farm is unpaved for quite a way, and a standard car may hit the road in places if not taken at a very slow pace?”

Whether it’s a cuppa and a piece of delicious cake with the girls (the rocky road and chocolate brownies are a particular favourite) or lunch with my daughter it’s so lovely to get a smile and a bit of chat from the team. The cheese scones are delicious, my daughter loves the cheesy oatcakes and you can’t go wrong with one of their specials.....especially a meat and potato pie. My hubby loves a good breakfast on the weekend too. It’s a family affair for us just like it is for the team there. They treat you like family.”

“After ordered online the products was shortly after in shop ready to collect ,from friendly staff helpful to any questions about products quality or similar products in stock,plus provide with information which shop have in stock if they not ,but they can deliver the product to you doorstep any time you requested.so online or delivery is good recommended shopping for home accessories to toys and gadgets”

“Leek is a great town, and offers a more relaxed approach shopping that retail parks don't have, with an even greater choice of shops and cafes for you to visit. On this visit we went into the local library, and what a really nice surprise it gave us. Not only is the building a fantastic example of architecture long forgotten, but it also housed some great little surprises. It has a library, a small museum, a bit of an art gallery, and a small gift shop, the gift shop having some great bargains. This really is a place that anyone visiting needs to see, to which I'm sure you'll love what you see.”

“We stopped over at this cafe while on our way to a hike. Although the cafe was full, staff were very friendly and had time to talk. We had the coffee and a cake and it was nice. Plenty of parking onsite and the washroom facilities are clean”

“Love this cafe - it has a nice upstairs area with more seating (including some comfy chairs and sofas). I have had sandwiches and oatcakes here in the past and both have been good. Tea is always really nice here - they have a loose leaf tea which is very good. The cakes are excellent too, definitely recommend. The only improvement I would make is to speed up the food service a little (not too much, doesn't need to be super fast), but the food service is very slow so you can't go there if you're in a hurry!”

“Went today with my boss the breakfast sandwiches were huge great price .never had an oatcake before (brummies) so the owner treated us to one on the house owner was really pleasant and if your passing you cant go wrong food is good and priced well”

“I have been going to Monty’s Fish and Chip Shop in Leek Market Square for over 15 years, and I can say with complete sincerity that it is one of the best fish and chip shops in the world. From the very first time I discovered Monty’s, I knew it was something special. “For a budget hotel, it's perfect! It has a pool, it has a gym, it even has a squash court!! The attached bar is a traditional "Woolpack" style with 3 pool tables and friendly staff. Yes, it is a little run down and could do with a carpet upgrade, but that's what slippers are for! Please do not go here as I don't want it fully booked when I go back!!!”

“29th of June /2nd July 2024, we stayed there for 3 nights, at Lavander retreat, and we enjoyed every minute of it . The hot tub was amazing ,we used it even when it was raining ,chilly outside nice warm water in the tub . Decent size of bed ,shower room ,all you need to enjoy the stay . Nobody disturbed us during our stay , we had music on giggles and laughter . One thing ..... the steps were slippery when wet and really dangerous. Thank you ,Hen Cloud Cottage x”
