βMy son and I stopped here for a night for a few days walking in the Peaks. I stayed here when I was on a school walking trip and enjoyed it then as we walked from Hostel to hostel. I was certainly not disappointed with this visit either, it's such a historic building with all it's character and charm kept, well done YHA. The Hall is super with lots of rooms to chill in, great choice of food and drinks on offer. The staff were really friendly and helpful and kept us informed of the hostels amenities. The choice of food and good selection for breakfast was great. The rooms were clean and well catered for, we stopped in a private room which had its own shower and sink in the room which was good in the coach house. The hostel is well situated in a lovely quiet area and village with a choice of walks from the front door.β

βVery helpful with listning to students and resolving any problems they can wether in person or online. Usually very quick to assist and have all the information you may need wether it be course issues, housing issues or even something small like directions for new students. βGreat little find, cheap and easy to access. Stayed here for 1 night while working and visiting family. Arrived late and Kevin texted me the details regarding self check-in. Clean, comfortable and the coffee is greatly appreciated. Only downside is the bathroom being so far away but considering I was there less than 12 hours I can't really argue. I will be staying here again.β
βVery nice place to stay. There isn't a play park near the cottage and the garden is very small, if you are visiting to be out the majority of the day then I would highly recommend.β

βThis is going to be a very delayed review - I did my degree here from 1983 to 1986 when the second floor hosted the Combined Science Department of North Staffs Poly where I did Physics and the Dwight Building out the back was home to Ceramic Engineering. Visually, the building hasn't changed at all but the Student Union is much less dingy now - but we can't have everything! Stoke is a big-hearted and friendly place, which also went for the staff of the Mellor Building - I hope it's the same now! I had a wonderful time here...β
βAmazing shop, the staff are very polite and helpful. Especially the manager Nikki and the Asian lady, very welcoming atmosphere and they donβt mind you asking questions I got my first vape from here 5 years ago and they have always kept me up to date with whatβs new in the storeβ

βWe booked a table for 4, for a celebratory meal for our daughter who'd smashed her GCSE's. It was a pleasant environment to be in, the staff were friendly and professional. The main courses were very good, just one little criticism we ordered 2 Lasagne's and found it to be a little too salty, but we don't use salt much anyway. The other 2 mains were fab. Well, what can I say about the desert they were amazing and generous portions, you couldn't fault them. We will definitely go back there. Hats off to them.β
βFantastic venue. Mark and his team very friendly and helpful lovely room for my daughter's wedding receptionβ
