I was really apprehensive about having a filling, as I had alot of dental work in my teenage years (braces/extractions and fillings). Those memories were of fairly painful and uncomfortable procedures. I have to say Dr Paris Wong, was genuinely sensitive to my situation and really reassuring. Dr Wong, talked me through every step and took her time, checking in with me throughout. I have now had some positive experiences wirh a dentist which mean a great deal to me, as I can now finally go to a dentist without fear! Many thanks to Dr Paris Wong and her wonderful team. “At around 2 months of age, I noticed that my baby boy was developing a flat spot due to the fact that he was a great sleeper. After spending hours online researching plagiocephaly, I came across numerous solutions which included the Sleepcurve mattress and numerous pillows. I decided to opt for the cheaper option: the Mimos pillow. After using aforementioned pillow for 8 weeks, I could see his head was actually getting worse, and he had developed torticulus as a result. This led me back to my internet research and I discovered that cranial oestopathy, though expensive, could possibly help. I was lucky enough to find Philip Owen's (the Sleepcurve man!) practice and made an appointment to see him. This was the best decision I have made so far as a parent. After my first appointment, George had so much more movement in his neck and was, finally, sleeping on his left! I immediately bought a Sleepcurve mattress and one for his activity gym. This was the second best decision I have made as a parent! It was easy to trim the cot mattress down with a pair of scissors so that it fit my Chicco crib and once in place, George loved it- he could move his head freely which alleviated his torticulus and started to recify his plagiocephaly, and he slept soundly- 12 hours nearly every night! After 4 weeks or so of using the Sleepcurve, his head is starting to round and I am elated. Do not hesitate if you are in the same position as me- buy a Sleepcurve immediately and if you are lucky enough to live in the North west go and see Philip at the Oak Hall clinic. Both George and I can now sleep soundly in the knowledge that we are treating both his torticulus and plagiocephaly in the best way possible.
