“We can highly recommend Wharf Design. Chris has transformed our old kitchen into a light, modern workable kitchen and utility area with a wow factor. With his knowledge he helped with design and colour on all aspects of the project and nothing was to much trouble. If Chris was not around Mike was always on hand to help. Fitters Wayne and Kurt were excellent as were their team of tradesmen. All happy to advise if needed and kept us informed and up to date at each stage. All very professional. We would definitely use Wharf Design again.”

“Being a creature of comfort I'm not fond of change, especially after using the same Chinese takeaway for many years. Yesterday I decided to give Beijing City a try and I can honestly say I wasn't disappointed. Firstly the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, they went out of their way to help me with my order. My mother ordered the Sweet & Sour King Prawn with a side of Sesame prawns on toast. Being a fan of Duck I was recommended the Roast duck & Char Siu which I also had with a side of Sesame prawns on toast and a portion of the Chilli pepper chips. The complete order was absolutely delicious and by far the best Chinese I've had in a long time. The sesame prawn toast was the best I've ever tasted and as for the chilli pepper chips, I just have to have their recipe. I wouldn't hesitate to give 6 stars if it was possible.”

“Went for Sunday lunch. Daughter booked as it was her birthday. Excellent choice of meats. My grandson as lots of allergies they did his food separate and was served straight from the kitchen so no food could be cross contaminated. We all enjoyed our meals.”

“Recently, it was refurbished and decorated. Painted with lovely new carpets throughout and a patio garden with flowers and seating. By the river with great walks, a few steps away, and very close to town. A great place to live.”

“Stayed in The Saddlery next door, but had a peek in The Hayloft. Both properties were lovely, well maintained and peaceful. Set on a farm with great views. Stacey, the host, thought of everything that might be needed, from towels to teabags. Would definitely recommend to anyone and I'm already planning a return visit.”

“I have recently moved to the area from London and was convinced I would miss the London theatre scene. How wrong can you be? I have now enjoyed 4 productions/events at my very local Daneside theatre. I am told that the productions are amateur but i can’t believe they are as the acting has been spellbinding. “Little Shop of Horrors” was witty, had incredible scenery and props, and was the sweetest production I’ve seen ( I’ve seen it twice in the West end) “One man two guvnors” had me in laughing my socks off with the most incredible actors and then, I paid only £6 for a cinema ticket (the theatre is sometimes a cinema too) There was also a Pink Floyd tribute band with an amazing light show and phenomenal guitarist and also a fun filled Meatloaf musical. I didn’t want to write this because if the word gets out about how good this place is I may not get tickets to future shows ( everything I have attended has been a sellout) but I’m really writing this for the wonderful actors who have given me so much joy over the past few months. Thankyou.”

“Called in to enquire about a replacment tap 'knob'. As expected, obsolete. Young man was very helpful (JQUAR), I bought Bristan Tap revivers, which needed a slight mod to work (tap head catching the tap body when turned) the but very effective, are good quality and look great. A few £ more than buying off Amazon but the advice was worth it.”
