“Had not been to this cafe for a while, due to being away. Hasn't lost its touch. Went in a few times this week. Had my usual toast, poached egg and salad. Another time I had spaghetti and another time I had omelette. Lovely food, Nice people, nice atmosphere and good pricing. Thanks selsdon cafe. See you soon.”

“First time my husband and I have visited here. We decided to treat ourselves to a large Sunday breakfast and we can assure you we were not disappointed. “Couldn’t fault our visit here. A cosy busy spot great for families. The atmosphere is lovely and the outdoor seating is perfect when the weathers good. The food was also on point. Portions are massive and at amazing value. I ordered the chicken Caesar salad and it was surprisingly very good! Will happily come again.”

“This is just over the road from work so I have eaten here several times. The staff have always been friendly, the food tasty and priced fairly. The Big Daddy breakfast lives up to its name without feeling like an actual ordeal. Less gluttonous meals and sandwiches are also available. Overall it's recommended by me and definitely better than the Cranmore Cafe around the corner (which isn't awful, just not as good as here).”

“Went in not wanting anything heavy so they had a selection of cold sweets to have with a coffee. Millionaire shortbread was very nice and the service and welcome was a cut above. Also nice to see them give school holiday kids a bit of a go. It is clearly valued as a place by the community. Great place.”

“Golden acre is a beautiful park, albeit with some dodgy parking. But the tea room is gorgeous, sit on the terrace if the weather permits or inside the conservatory style tea rooms. Sandwiches are great, good bread and fresh ingredients and accompanying salad. The coffee was good however the flat white was not as strong as my personal taste would prefer. I have not tried the breakfast menu as it stops at 11 or 11:30 and I've only arrived just after. 5 stars if this was good and served all day.”

“I have visited the Cafe numerous times, and I must say that every time I have been I haven’t been disappointed. The staff are absolutely brilliant, so kind and helpful. I asked for a lunch recommendation and Sophie recommended the chicken Caesar flat bread with chips and it was delicious!! So filling and great for the price! Karen made me a really nice hot chocolate with lots of cream on top, which was to die for! It’s always busy in the cafe, but the staff always have time for you, they always help the elderly customers by bringing the trays over to them & sometimes having a little chat to those that come in on their own. It’s so lovely to see such helpful and pleasant staff members. The cafe is always clean when we go, there’s usually a cleaner that comes and sweeps up, she is really friendly too. I always recommend the cafe to my friends and colleagues, and I will be returning again for another flatbread! Well done Tesco cafe!”

“Living in aston and I have never been to Ricardo's cafe till the other day and it was worth popping in. The English breakfast was really nice, staff were friendly and polite. My only flaw I could find was how sticky the tables were. Other than that It's a lovely place to eat.”

“I went for a morning coffee and croissant and had a very warm welcome from the head chef, while he was carrying the freshly baked pastries to the window. It has charming décor and an irresistible aroma of freshly baked croissants, making the whole restaurant feel like a little Parisian escape. The pastries are perfectly buttery and flaky; and the ambiance is relaxed, and there is also a no laptop policy, making it ideal for catching up with friends or unwinding with a good book.”

“Excellent cafe. Food is perfectly cooked and generous portions. Wide variety from English breakfast, panini's, rolls etc. Good honest food at affordable prices. I had tea, with baked beans, tomatoes, hash browns and toast for £7.20. The cafe is spotlessly clean with plenty of space between the many tables and chairs. The staff are polite and friendly. Highly recommended.”

“Wow! Sure, I was hungry getting there, but this is one of the best breakfasts I had in a very long time! I went for the American breakfast for £10 and a cappuccino. Blueberry pancakes which had a great texture, eggs, bacon, syrup, sausage and some potatos. Man, this was great! This is my new go to place for breakfast on weekends! The guy who served the food seemed really nice and took time to chat with the regulars without letting anyone wait for service. Five starts without a doubt!”
