“Visited for the December Menu with friends, always quick and efficient service. I had the Confit Duck, followed by the Banana Waffle. Only observation is the Waffle would have been better with Fresh Banana and Icecream.”

“A nice cosy pub in the heart of Wednesfield bringing you a great selection of real Ales largers and ciders. The vine also consists of a selection of spirits if the pints don't take your fancy. The staff where friendly and knowledgeable of there selection as to be exspected from a black country ales pub. Bar snacks are available in the form of cobs ,pork pies, black pudding and a selection of crisps and scratchings.”

“My wife and I made our first visit to 'The Stump' ( Mount Pleasant) since the 1980's . After a recommendation on Facebook we decided to call in for a late night drink after playing Bridge. The Mount Pleasant is open until 23:00 and serves until 22:45 . We had checked on the Real Ale Finder site that the Mount Pleasant regularly updates and found that they had an interesting Abbeydale Hazelnut and Coffee Stout on. They regularly change 9 of the real ales that they have on offer and a chalk board lists the beers and prices . The Mount Pleasant has a long ( thin) layout with a car park ( also long and thin on its right hand side ) . We accessed the pub via a rear door from the car park . A covered smoking deck is at the back then the single door access ( with a single step) leafs into a corridor that runs the length of the pub with single doorways to enter the front and rear bar rooms . The pub was warm and friendly with a group of people at another table enjoying snack type food . We had a half of the Abbeydale Stout and were pleasantly surprised by the price of only £3.90 for a pint of this 5.2% strength Stout. We enjoyed it so much we squeezed in another half before closing time . The service was friendly and when I mentioned that the last time we visited the Mount Pleasant was in the 1980's the landlady jokingly replied that she was not even born then. It is not surprising that The Mount Pleasant is in the 2025 Camra Good Beer Guide . We both enjoyed our visit and would highly recommend The Stump as a 'must visit ' if you are in the area .”

Warm and comfortable even sitting near the main entrance. It's definitely an old time pub and although it's been through various changes since I first drank in there it remains an old time pub. “Had a lovely meal at a large special birthday gathering. The staff were very well organized and the meal was tasty and everyone got what they had ordered. We had several children on our table ranging from 3- 7. unfortunately our table was one of the last to be served. so rumbling bellies. Apart from that a great night.”

“We chose The Swan for my brother in laws wake we found the place to be a good size for the amount of people that were coming, spoke to Jodie about what food they could provide we chose the hot and cold buffet which was presented and tasted lovely nothing was left. I would highly recommend this place for the professionalism and respectful staff on this occasion will be most definitely be going back to enjoy the live music and atmosphere”

“Me and my partner called in here on a Saturday night and ate the most beautiful Indian cuisine. It was cooked to perfection and to our taste. We didn't want it too hot and had no problems whatsoever, as the chef listened to our concerns and made it beautiful. I'd never had the bread before called paratha and was pleasantly surprised. Highly recommended.”
