Stayed there for 2 nights with my family and it was one of the worst experience I ever had. Initially everything looked ok but we woke up with body full of bed bug bites. We stayed in 341. So watch out if you been put in that room in last few weeks. We found 2 alive bed bugs in the morning under the pillow. Mattress cover was full of bed bugs faeces. Up on rasing this issue with manager a cleaner was sent out and she took the alive bed bugs with her. I went downstairs with the clearer, Our room was changed and apart from that there was no communication regarding our bites or if our laugage has to be de-contaminated or anything like that. Sent an email to the company and no reply from them either. Hotel shouldn't be open if they have such issues. All our laugage is in the car since then because we are petrified of the thought if we have bed bugs in the laugage and our house next. Hotel Absolutely joke when it comes to taking responsibility but I'm sure they think if they stop communicating we will leave the matter.

Stayed recently and was given a disabled room on ground floor, which, was very large and well laid out. For someone with disabilities this would be ideal and I would certainly recommend it. We hadn't realised that we were staying on 'mad Friday' (last Friday before Christmas). Unfortunately because we were on a main corridor guests were passing our room at all hours up to about 2am. Most were drunk and very loud. Waking us regularly. We decided to leave at 2.30am as we could not stand the noise/rowdiness from other guests. Obviously this is not the hotels fault but it ruined our stay and meant driving home overnight. We did not have the chance to stay for breakfast so cannot review this. I might stay again but I would need some assurance that I would actually get some sleep.

Worst hotel ever i have stayed in and would never waste my money again. I would love to give it -10 stars. First check in is at 3pm i checked in at 4 on sunday,i felt the receptionist had a bad day or tired of this job.no smile no greetings nothing.i have read quite alot of reviews i read kids got activity packs.my 2 kids were given nothing.and she told me to pay i put my card in it wasnt reading my card she just ignored me for 2 mins.i asked her what time does the pool close she lied and said 6. When i got my key she didnt tell me properly where to go she just mumbled. No lift !!! Stairs dirty mop bucket left on staires saw a pepsi empty can on stairs. Room could be much better tiny bathroom with shower no bath tub booked the same room holiday inn near the airport good size bathroom with bathtub and a small fridge. No fridge no coffee machine pillows outdated mattreses outdated. Anyway was told 6pm the pool closes just thinking i have 1 hour to swim i went to find the swimming pool.couldnt find it asked receptionist she was rued and didnt instruct properly.was finding it for 15 mins. I asked regural customers i was told it closes at 8. Swimming pool not a good size especialy with alot of guests. Next day had breakfast chef aswell no smile no welcoming when i asked him something no smile nothing and went to swim after enjoying swimming for a little while they started taking more then half of the pool for fitness classes.and give us a tiny bit we agreed and was still happy. But the lady there came up to me and told me you are not swimming you have to swim or get out for 45mins. I said what!! I am swimming she said no ur playing about if you want to stay u swim round and round.the man aswell kept on telling me to get out. I said theres other people and kids there just standing around go tell them aswell she said yeah im going and she didnt she lied and ran away.was that racism ? I got so angry after all that i just got out the pool and went to get ready took my daughter out.she wanted 2 swim more Check out was at 11 i had packed all my stuff already so i can swim and took it down with me 10.30 i remembered i forgot something went back room was already clean.how ?? Can u clean a room before check out time ? Its not allowed.iv worked in ibis i know how it works. 11 is my check out thats still my room mybe i wanted to go back 2 shower or anything? Thats just out of the question to clean a room before check out. Im sorry to say train your staff or change your staff!!! To smile to greet to be helpfull its not only me iv seen alot of bad reviews of your staff. Staff are getting payed to make our stay happy and comfortable. Unhappy staff = unhappy customer. And if u want to go on with fitness clubs you do a time 4 them so they are not distracted and we can swim bec we have all payed.or make another private swimming pool. I heard 2 ladies really complaining paying alot of money for the club and lots of men looking at them and to much noise e.t.c If anyone reads this il recommend you to go birm holiday inn near the airport. Freindly staff , lift ,clean stairs , big room and bathroom ,bathtub ,fridge ,coffee machine, big swimming pool, very clean hotel, the hotel is much appealing to look at. I really enjoyed my stay there and they even have a car to pick you.

Good location and comfortable stay. Had an issue where I didn’t turn up on the first day of my booking and they initially refused to check me in and told me there were no rooms left for me. The general manager however very kindly let us stay for the rest of the booking. So very grateful to him/her. If you have a disability or young children you need to mention that you want a ground floor room when booking, as I couldn’t see there was a lift.

We stayed with our two year old and can't recommend or thank the staff enough for such a lovely visit. The check in staff were very friendly and gave our two year old a colouring pack which he loved. They also had free fruit available. The room and bathroom was clean and we all slept great. The restaurant staff were very friendly and the three course kids meal was free which was absolutely amazing. Our food was great and well cooked and the breakfast the next morning was brilliant too. The pool was warm and we had a fun time in the morning before we checked out. The kid's corner at the restaurant was also a nice touch that our kid loved and enjoyed the books and toys there Would definitely recommend to any families looking for somewhere to stay on a Birmingham visit as it's a good distance from the city centre and easy to get to.

The rooms are a bit old now and do need to be refreshed. However, the staff and food are very good and there is a gym if you are up for it. Watch out when you come off the motorway, easy to miss the right turn on the roundabout. Liked the order at the table kit, which meant the food service was really quick.

The hotel was clean and a good size. The room was lovely, a good selection of drinks at the bar. The staff were friendly and polite. The pool and facilities were clean and well kept. Definitely will be back.

I was gifted a red letter day so we chose this location for an overnight stay on our way to a holiday in Wales. The staff were very friendly, attentive and made us feel very welcome as soon as we walked into reception. The 3 course evening meal and breakfast were well presented, plentiful and delicious. The room was spotlessly clean. Housekeeping can be commended for the pride they take in their work. The room had everything we needed for our overnight stay, although the decor is a little dated. The corridor areas definitely need attention. On leaving the receptionist said that the hotel is due a refurb. It will be interesting to see the improvements made. The location was quiet and overlooked fields. Although close to the motorway the sound of the traffic was very far into the distance. We slept with the window open and had a peaceful night's sleep.

Serviceable place, bit noisy closer to the evenings but room was tidy and clean and has great transport links for getting into city centre. WiFi was very poor however and kept cutting out, plus no smart TV. Lots of on-site parking which is free providing you enter your car reg upon arrival. Room key stopped working a few times, but staff were helpful. Also Starbucks drinks are available at the restaurant which is very clean and has lovely staff on hand. Would stay again.

Normally a great experience here but on this occasion wrong rooms given at check in Rectified with no apology Had to change rooms again due to hardly any space to move in the bathroom Then during the first day the rooms were not cleaned. We complained and despite assurances that they would be done they were not so we had to complain again We were offered complimentary breakfasts and a slightly later check out time but again no real apology Really disappointing and after 2 good previous experiences will most likely give this hotel a miss next time I visit Birmingham
