This is a lovely pub next to the river Teme. Plenty of parking. Two Farmers cider is nice. Loads of beers. Got to recommend Wednesday curry nights. Dog friendly. No idea on rooms so have them a middle score as it is a pub to me.

Recently had an excellent Christmas lunch there with friends. Full plate, tasty sprouts, great vegetables and gravy, delicious chocolate torte to follow. All served in a friendly and efficient manner. Would highly recommend.

My wife and I were staying local to The Talbot this week and weβd booked in for lunch as it fell on our walking route. Originally a place to simply drop into for a bite to eat turned out to be one of the most enjoyable lunches weβd had in a very long time. It was a very quiet Monday lunchtime but the staff couldnβt be more helpful and pleasant on our early arrival and we took up a place in front of the fire with a drink. The pub has that traditional feel to it with plenty of charm to go with it. We eventually ordered our food, the chicken pie for my wife and the burger for myself. The food was absolutely delicious and with so many elements sourced locally or even onsite, the quality was outstanding. The staff as mentioned were warm and welcoming and we felt completely at ease and could have stayed for much longer if time allowed. If weβre in the area in the future weβll book in again for sure. Great pub!!

We had dinner at The Talbot last Saturday evening. The food was delicious, my husband said the chicken and leek pie was the nicest pie he had ever eaten - and boy has he had a lot of pies. I am gluten intolerant, and was delighted to find the fish and chips were gluten free - a very rare treat. We shared an Eton mess sundae for dessert which was amazing. The portion sizes were huge. The guy behind the bar was friendly and our dogs were made welcome. The chef came to check everything was ok, which is always a nice touch. And he brought the dogs a few scraps of ham, he is their new best friend. It was relatively expensive, but worth it for the high quality food.

Went here for lunch from finding it on Google maps. It really is a lovely pub & the food was exceptional . They grow , cook & bake most of the food in house . It was so nice to visit a traditional family owned pub & restaurant in the countryside which isnt a chain . The lady who served us was very friendly too. Its also situation beside a small lake & has ample outdoor seating.

Situated on the River Teme, the Talbot has been flooded out many times over the years. Plenty of character and roaring log fires in a huge fireplace. You can have a pint of the locally brewed beers - either βThisβ, βThatβ, or the βOtherβ.

Just about holding on to its 19/20th century self. Wonderfully un- 'enhanced bistro experience' rather more in the realm of a good inn of the old school. The lunchtime food was enjoyed by our group and if that's the restricted menu at lunch, lordy wouldn't you be full to burstin' when eating at 'normal times. A good one-off with some very good brewed on site beers; wisely for the luncheon trade there a choice of lighter specific gravity beers. Gets a half star for having grown up signage, ie lavatories, our late Queen I feel, would have approved.

We booked last minute for Sunday lunch, this place had been recommended to us by a couple of people. I think we must have caught them on a bad day as all bar the youngest staff member seemed disinterested and we almost felt like an inconvenience. Food was ok but not more than that I'm afraid, shame because we don't live far away and would likely go a fair bit but it does seem to be a 'local pub for local people'.

Good food and decent portions. Nice beer from the on site brewery. A little pricey and the men's toilet was a bit stinky, but would go again. Plenty of easy safe parking
