Arrived for takeaway over the counter and was not given waiting times.Only discovered that waiting times were about 30 minutes after hearing someone else being told.Later there were people being served who had came in after me that had ordered over the counter. After 45 minutes I asked girl at counter how much longer my food would be and when she checked my order it had not been transferred to kitchen.I was then told it would be out as soon as possible. My order came after an hour and 10 minutes..I was just handed the food without any apology or explanation. When I asked for an apology I was just given the excuse it was “a Saturday night” and not the fact they made a mess of my order. We have been regular users of this establishment for many years now but after there poor service I will not use them again and would not recommend it to anyone after there ignorant display. Food took 2hrs 15mins to arrive and was cold when it got here. I use the Richmond regularly but tonight will be the last time. 3 phone calls when food hadn't turned after 1 hr 30 to be told it's busy? Tell me when I order so I can go elsewhere. Disappointing

The lunch menu for 2 courses is very reasonable at £13.50. Service is good and staff are attentive. Portion size is good, particularly the rice. The curry was a little bland, and it was definitely lacking something. Will return and would recommend.

First time trying the richmond. We had the 3 course set menu. For starter i had turkey noodle soup and my wife had the volcano chicken my soup was nice and my wife loved her wings i tried them and the flavour was good but not spicy at all. Main course i had orange chicken and my wife had beef and black bean the orange chicken was really nice but the black bean was a little bland and myself and my wife thought the beef was really tough it came with large serving of fried rice the rice was nothing different from any fried rice i have had. We also ordered a side of chips they were ok and we both had a soft drink each. We paid £61 but we did notice there was a 10% service charge first time i have I've had this dont see the point paying a service charge when dining in the prices are already higher than takeaway prices. Thats why i never left a tip as there was a service charge.

Highly recommend the food and always our go to restaurant when we are looking for Chinese food whether dine in or takeaway . Ordered at 18.34 and was told delivery would be up to 1 hour. Called when this wasn’t fulfilled told me my order hadn’t been prepared yet because they were busy so queried why they didn’t tell me that when I ordered. Staff are rude and dismissive - no comment on that just promised that it would be with me within 10-15 mins. In the end was 1hr and 45 mins. Fine soft noodles didn’t contain the normal veg, curry sauce was half the portion size. Will be going elsewhere in the future.

I haven't eaten here since I was a teenager, with my parents, and decided to go here for my 5 year anniversary with my partner, recently. The atmosphere is romantic, peaceful and feels that you are eating somewhere special. Staff are polite, and serve food promptly. Food was brilliant. We had chicken noodle soup, ribs, then our main courses of chicken satay, and sweet and sour chicken, and everything was of high quality. Place attracts both couples and families. Seems it is popular for special occasions like big birthdays and anniversaries, as a family was celebrating a 60th, and another family were doing a birthday cake as well at another table, so highly recommend.

Down from Aberdeen to visit family and popped in for a bite to eat. So pleased we did as the service, staff, food and atmosphere were all first class. Can't recommend it enough. This will definately be our new go to place to eat when ever we are down.
