Was a fun weekend,small but adequate and everything we needed , fridge, microwave, kettle,hob toilet and shower before came out of wall 20 min walk to marina will book again, friendly staff BBQ outside each pod
We’ve been coming to this campsite for years, but after this weekend’s experience, we won’t be returning. We were locked in THREE TIMES due to the faulty ANPR system, all because staff repeatedly entered our number plate incorrectly, despite us providing the correct details (using “O” not zero) multiple times. It was frustrating enough the first time—by the third, it was beyond ridiculous. The most serious incident happened when I urgently needed exit in a rush and return to our pitch with Calpol for my screaming, unwell 9-month-old baby. Once again, we were stuck at the barrier, and when I called the emergency number, it rang out with no answer. That is a serious safety failure. When I eventually spoke to someone, I was met with rudeness and a complete lack of empathy. One female staff member behaved astonishingly, implying that I “wasn’t in an emergency.” I cannot overstate how inappropriate and upsetting that was. A crying infant in need of medicine isn’t up for debate. This wasn’t just poor service—it was shockingly unprofessional and potentially dangerous. No urgency, no apology, and no accountability. After years of loyal visits, this experience has completely changed how we see the site. Absolutely disgraceful.
Great campsite to stay within walkable distance to Brighton marina and centre. We stayed in a glamping microlodge. It had a pull down double bed, bunk bed, kitchen, toilet and shower. You had a view of the marina and sea. We came in Nov so damp and grey but still enjoyed it. The heater kept the lodge toasty and you had all the amenities required including microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge, TV, outdoor decking, seating and BBQ. It's about 20-30 mins walk to the Marina shops and restaurants and probably another 20 mins to the pier. However, theres loads to do and see on the way so didn't seem as far. Staff at the site were very friendly and there was a hut selling evening food and breakfast. There is also a cafe down the road which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. We had breakfast there and it was lovely. All in a great site. I hope to come again, maybe when it is warmer.
Really enjoyed a 4 day break with my friend. Accommodation is well equipped, shower is large & plently of hot water, kitchen area is sparce but has a kettle, microwave & double hob. The double bed was comfortable. We had a great view over marina. It was very quiet at night. Parking was a fair way from accommodation & the steps made it hard work with our suitcases etc. However I really enjoy the accommodation & would return again.
These are brilliant. The pods are very compact but there is everything you could need in them. You have your own deck and a brick built grill for using disposable bbqs, and they even provide one of these to use with it which really adds to the experience. Already booked at another of their destinations. Definitely a great, cost effective way to get away.
The Hut is located not far from the centre of Brighton and is also very close to The a South Downs National Park. So is an ideal area to explore Sussex. You get a free car parking space and the whole site is controlled with a barrier so it feels secure. The hut itself was clean, spacious and had a decent cooking equipment. The bathroom has a hot shower and toilet. Heating is really good in the Hut which was perfect for this time of year. The bed folds away during the day which gives you the space you need for dining or other activities
3 nights of pure bliss! We chose the glamping pods at experience freedom for our stay in Brighton and we were not disappointed, so cozy and with everything you need and only 10 mins walk from the Marina and a little further into the centre. The staff are very friendly and helpful and they made the whole experience even better.
Given the pending storm I was unsure about whether it was going to be a pleasant experience. Thankfully I needn't have worried. The check-in was simple, there was dedicated parking and a trolley to ship the contents of the car to the Glamping Pod. The heating was already on inside the pod to immediately counter the cold weather outside. It was my girls' first experience of a Glamping Pod and they loved it. They took it in turns to sleep on the top bunk and the armchairs that converted into a bed. They liked that there were "many secret places" in the pod. The main bed folded out of the wall with the dining table hidden underneath. The pod design makes excellent use of the space transforming for day or night use. The pods are high up on the hillside with an excellent view down towards Brighton Marina and the sea. A testament to the quality of the pod structure is that despite Storm Jorge battering the coastline and the pod we could hear the wind and rain but at no point did we feel exposed or insecure. The location is excellent, it is a short walk from Brighton Marina that has a host of activities and restaurants. An excellent weekend enjoyed by all.
