Customer service here is consistently poor. Staff stand near the door chatting instead of greeting or helping customers. The makeup on some staff looks excessive for a sports shop and feels unprofessional. When I ask questions, they often don’t know the answers. One woman who seems to be a manager is always talking with staff and comes across as rude and unprofessional. This store really needs to improve its customer service
Customer service assistant think we are in their house and we are there to take their property. They hates when we ask them to get the a shoe size. When one shoe not fits then obviously need to ask for another one. Customer service assistant heats to do that. So End up we finding our own right shoe size in box pile. Heats to go to this shop.
I had a fantastic experience at Sports Direct thanks to Sophie! From the moment I walked in, she was friendly, approachable, and genuinely eager to help. She went out of her way to assist me in finding the right size and style shoe, and her product knowledge was incredible. She made the whole shopping experience enjoyable, nothing was too much trouble for her. It’s rare to come across someone so professional yet personable. She’s a real credit to the team, and I’ll definitely be back because of her top-notch service!
I chose a shoe that was clearly marked £50 on sale. However, when I went to pay, I was told it was actually £60 and they refused to sell it for the displayed price. Before heading to the counter, I even double-checked with a customer assistant, and she confirmed the price was definitely £50. I spent a lot of time carefully selecting this shoe, only to be met with poor service. The customer assistants were extremely rude and unprofessional. I definitely do not recommend this store. Their manager seriously needs to provide proper customer service training.
Really good. If you want to buy garment or footwear for sports, then this sports direct is the best place to go to if you live nearby.
The overweight store manager wouldn’t let me return an item with a hole in it because I had previously worn it despite the hole already being there. I had proof of purchase and came in the next day after the purchase however she still said no.
This is a really nice, spacious shop - definitely premium one if you compare it to others in Oxford. lots of shoes to choose from and the staff is really knowledgeable and helpful. I highly recommend it!
I often go to sports direct more so than anywhere else, based purely on the fact that the staff are super helpful and polite. There is no shortage of smiles when it to customer service! The staff are willing, patient and hardworking! Shoe sizing can be a tedious task ,but the staff and management here really make it that much easier as there switched on, and on the ball, one look at my feet and the sales advisor instantly knew which size I was and what shape would be most comfortable! None of that trying on shoe after shoe nonsense! Happy customer practically the first time! !!
The staff in this store are oddly rude. I say odd because staff culture and management in this particular branch appears to be quite toxic, it's a big barrier to buying anything from this branch. I've been here three times and each time the store manager (Lindsey I think?) talks down and demeans other sales staff on the shop floor, so the attitude seems to trickle down. I tend to drive to the next nearest SD instead in Oxford where staff are much nicer. Makes one wonder how much more sales this SD branch could make had it practiced better management and basic customer service.
