“Over christmas 2025 my boiler stopped working. Gastek came out, diagnosed the issue. It was time for the boiler to go into permanent retirement, they just couldn't go on any longer. Wasn't really ready for that scenario, but had to respect their wishes and that it was time to say goodbye old friend you served us well. A replacement was sourced through gastek (bearing in mind this is the christmas shut down period) and within 2 days we had a new boiler installed by the gastek engineers. Just in time for the minus temperatures that hit us new years eve 2025. Gastek do take care of you. No matter what time of year it happens to be.”

“Spot on Job! First time using Carsmetic. Popped over for a quick estimate and I was greeted by Stuart, very friendly and nice bloke. We had a chat about what I wanted doing which was, front bumper full respray, bonnet fixing and painting and blending it all in. He gave me a reasonable price to do the work and booked me in. Over the few days he had my car he kept me updated with the progress, I really appreciated being kept in the loop. Then gave me a phone call when it was all finished. When I went there to pick my car up I could see straight away the great job he had accomplished. Came out and had a chat and I couldn’t be more happy. Everything is blended in amazingly, could never tell the bumper was black before I took it to him. Will definitely be recommending and coming back in the future!”

“This is a brilliant lock and door ironmongery store. When my lock broke on my upvc door as the hadn't got the actual lock in stock they lent me a temporary lock until the correct lock was delivered .. they also mended part of the latch mechanism free of charge which had come adrift. Brilliant service.”

Went to a different Aircon "specialist" and they "vacuum tested" it and just gassed it but a month later when it started getting warm outside and I could test the Aircon, it wasn't working. I came to this place instead and did a proper pressure test instead of a vacuum test and highlighted the issue almost immediately. Very good price as well so I can definitely recommend.”

“I have taken my 2012 Audi b8.5 S5 to change water pump/thermostat/PVC and carbon cleaning and some other bits done. Prices were very reasonable and very good turnaround times to complete the job. Also i would like to mention some leaks and broken parts were discovered during the work due to age of the car. And Thomas truely went above and beyond and did his best to repair/replace them and have my car ready on a very short timescale due to my work schedule even after all the troubles that came up with the car along the way. “Have always taken my car for MOT / Services. I have had a couple of issues with my car recently, needing a new wet belt being the biggest one. Keith arranged to collect my car and it was repaired within 3 days (happy me). Recently I had a water leak, was unsure whether it was coolant matrix or a pipe. Keith prepared me for the worst case scenario, but made my day when it was a pipe issue only. Repaired within 48 hours and even dropped back to my home. I would 100% recommend this company.”
