“I had a fantastic experience! The food was delicious — the chicken wraps were packed with flavor and perfectly grilled, and the fries were crispy and well-seasoned. The sides added a nice freshness and crunch to the meal, and the sauces complemented everything really well. “I came for the menu and wow it didn’t disappoint. We had breakfast and I can confirm the food was amazing, a bit random but it worked. I had the good karma which has two sausages, some avocado, a tomato, a garlic mushroom, some delicious garlic and rosemary mini roast potatoes cubes. black pudding, beans and bread. My friend went for the stateside but switched bacon for vegan sausage - she also loved hers. I will say it was a bit expensive and the drinks aren’t really worth the price. I had a cup of tea for £2.45 which I felt was quite steep, but I guess we are in a cost of living crisis - regardless of the cost I’d recommend going and would definitely go again myself. It’s also quite a small place and we got the last table luckily so I’m unsure if seating is an issue but there was lots of outside seats available; it was just a bit cold so we wanted to go inside.”

“Little gem of a tea room! Excellent selection of good priced food. Food excellent quality & portions good too. (3 adults visiting with a dog) Tried their bacon sandwich which was freshly made with plenty of bacon in a soft bap. Coffees made fresh, so we ended up staying long enough for a second round of coffees with cakes (gingerbread man, millionaires shortbread, cornflake tart…..all good value and would easily beat the competition for quality). We’ll certainly be back as there were other good valued meals advertised that we’d like to have tried too. Easily accessible location, and happy to accept dogs (they get as much attention as the humans!)”

“For a coffee place it should go without saying that the coffee here is excellent (and it is!), but the brunch/breakfast options here are what make this the kind of place I wish we had round the corner - had probably the nicest almond croissant I've ever had here, and that was essentially a starter for this banging brisket eggs benedict. Sometimes an eggs benedict can be disappointingly dull, but they nailed the hollandaise and every element was spot on. Looking for an excuse to find myself in Halifax again!”

“My first visit to this place has I have heard so much about it so on first impressions easy to travel to also plenty of parking then nice welcome large shop area or waiting area the staff were super smart also very friendly I can see my two young niece n nephew loving this place has it was very spacious with a great view also where we sat you could see the animals outside so it was a nice distraction but the food the full breakfast was spot on the service spot on the price you can’t complain to sit in a nice warm relaxing atmosphere really impressed .The farm animals were an added bonus”

“2nd time I've ordered from here and both time the food has been spot on best butty had in a long time from a shop. Normally you can tell the bacon from other shops is cheap but here you can taste the quality, egg was cooked to perfection and just right size. Delivered to our door by by a polite a friendly bloke. We also got a brownie each me and my partner had salted caramel brownie which were soft and delicious tasted fresh and homemade, my daughter had the oreo brownie and she loved it. Spot on this place dont normally leave reviews but felt the need to share how good it is. Keep up the good work”

“This place is just perfect. We went for a lovely but chilly walk and finished up here after wanting to visit for ages and we weren't disappointed. Even from the outside it's special, and when you walk in its just a lovely fuzzy welcoming feeling of awesomeness. No.54 has so much quirky character, but natural, not forced. We sat at a beautiful, old arty table by the window and ordered full breakfasts. Everything on the plate was cooked perfectly and using great quality produce. I want to go back already, and can Imagine it being the perfect venue for a little celebration. Service was warm and friendly, and there's plenty of food choices to suit everyone. Resisted the cakes this time but I don't think that would happen next time!!!”

“Great spot for a spot of dinner. I had homemade cottage pie with onion and cheese mash topping, lashings of gravy, chips and peas! Absolutely massive portions. The cafe had a lively atmosphere with plenty of locals and tradesmen coming in for coffee and butties. The staff were brilliant; polite, courteous and very accommodating. If you're looking for great quality food at a reasonable price you can't go far wrong with Care @ 19!”
