“Love the local volunteer run theatre and being a part of it for most of my life has been fantastic. From being in the shows on stage to helping build sets, run backstage or sell sweets front of house there’s something for everyone to do if wanted. Or just come along and enjoy the productions as a member of the public. That’s a very important job too! A wonderfully historic building that holds the community spirit of todmorden at its heart.”
“My 1st visit and couldn't have been happier. Every member of staff exemplary and good selection of beers. I was most pleased with the arrangement made for my accessibility needs.”
“Excellent micro pub serving well kept cask ales and craft kegs. Friendly and welcoming. Some outdoor seating, well worth a visit.”
“The Halifax Playhouse is a lovely theatre with lots of charm and heritage behind it. The staff are very welcoming and seats are very comfortable. It's also nice visiting a theatre that allows you to get so close to the actors on stage. It's an intimate venue that we can't wait to see more plays at in the future!”
“1st time at the Playhouse and wasn't sure what to expect, but play was excellent, well attended. Bar prices very reasonable. Good night and not expensive, will definitely buy tickets in the future.”

“The guided tours are excellent. The volunteer guides are friendly and knowledgable and you get to see the backstage areas and dressing rooms in addition to the auditorium. The intricate Victorian machinery beneath the stage to operate the trapdoors is especially interesting. And you get a free coffee or tea afterwards.”

“Quiet when we arrived at about 3.40pm. We were shown to our table. We just wanted tea, coffee and scone and tray bake. All very nice. Lovely historic location. Nice gallery of artwork. Cinema in same building. Swimming pool adjacent and lovely walks. Maximum stay in car park is 4 hours, recent price increase. Internal photo and some of Easby Abbey which is a walk away.”
“5 stars for the staff. We were standing at a concert when my daughter started to feel faint. We went to the lobby for air and the staff immediately came over to ask if they could help. They arranged some seats for us so she could still watch the band which was a very generous and caring act. Many thanks !”
“I recently had the pleasure of working with HX Cinematography and I can't recommend them enough! From the very beginning, their professionalism was evident. They took the time to understand my vision and brought it to life beautifully. The creativity in their shots was impressive, capturing moments that I will cherish forever. The quality of the photos and videos exceeded my expectations, with stunning clarity and composition. They were also very easy to work with, making the entire experience enjoyable and stress-free. If you're looking for someone who is talented, reliable, and dedicated to their craft, look no further . I’m so grateful for the incredible work they did!”
“From booking the Panto,, to getting a shoutout for the family, proximity for parking, accessibility to toilets/bar/food it was simple! Then the Panto itself: It was just FABULOUS! The cast BRILLIANT! The kids loved the fact they could join in - the ‘stage’ so near it felt like a family performance. Thank you so very much everyone involved, including Kat who helped sort out a last minute additional booking! We will be definitely back next year!”
“Lovely, cosy theatre with a wonderful community feel. Not only did we enjoy the play ("Cheaters"), which was excellent, but also we loved being a part of the audience and the convivial atmosphere. Thank you for my interval Magnum. X”

“Meant to put this review on a few weeks ago! We went in on the Sunday night of the Saltaire festival and the guy that was working there (ahhh we asked his name but didn’t write it down so sadly we have forgotten his name!) was just SO lovely! His customer service skills stood out in a day and age where sadly customer service skills are lacking in many, many establishments. He was friendly and chatty and genuinely looked happy to be there in his place of work. 10/10 We look forward to popping in again.”
“Had a kids birthday party. The experience was absolutely wonderful. The staff were very attentive and friendly. Helped cut up the cake in the kitchen while children enjoyed their ice cream. The kids ate all the food and had lots of fun.”
“Review sent on behalf of my daughter. After going to the cinema frequently and being an avid fan of films, I am very grateful I could get an few posters of my favorite film. I am very happy and grateful with the quality of these posters and its something I can use to remember my cinema trip by long after. As a fan having tangible film posters is really cool. So I would like to thank you for this. Alanis”
