“Top staff great atmosphere. Kids love going after football and bar staff are great with them. Always made to feel welcome, has all the sports showing when you need it. All round one of the best for a pint, catchup and sports”

“Good food selection. The quality of the food was amazing, fresh and hot. Took 5 minutes to get food, but only because they were making the food fresh, which I think is better. Really good traditional fish and chip shop. Only accepts cash payments.”

“A group of 5 friends, we went this afternoon on a bottomless menu - £35 pp with mocktails and soft drinks included. Although there was a power cut when we arrived and waited half an hour in candlelight it was still a fab afternoon with plenty of food that was very tasty. Staff were really friendly and approachable and I am looking forward to going again!”

“Visit the Malt shovel monthly with Husband for Karaoke on Saturday nights. Great Karaoke host and good sound system. Cosy atmosphere, friendly crowd and attentive staff. Adequate Seating inside and outside. Clean toilets. Food is good and a varied menu. Great choice of traditional puddings and desserts. Wide selection of Drinks and cocktails at the average price. We park across the road rear of the shops.”

“We had a fantastic time at The Old White Beare in Norwood Green. It’s a beautiful, characterful pub with a really cosy atmosphere and a proper village feel. The staff were friendly, attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent – generous portions, well cooked and nicely presented. Our mains were full of flavour and the desserts were the perfect finish. Great choice of drinks too, with plenty of beers, wines and spirits to pick from. Loved the relaxed vibe and the comfortable seating areas, both inside and out. It’s the kind of place you can happily spend an afternoon in. We’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend The Old White Beare to anyone looking for a quality pub meal in a lovely setting.”

“No food in there but have crisps nuts basically snacks you can get food and eat in the pub entertainment is literally off the charts especially when Dj Red is on she is so lovely and brings brightness and joy to people”

“Another excellent Wetherspooons pub. Was visiting Halifax as a fan of Exeter City Football Club. A long 275 miles, 6-hour coach journey, so refreshments were in order. It's only a short 5-minute walk from the Shay ground. I ordered the Gourmet Buffalo chicken burger meal. £11.92 including a pint of beer. The food was okay. I ordered on the Wetherspoons app, which means you get excellent, speedy service.”
