“A dual purpose coffee bar (one of those you lean against, no seats) and alcoholic drinks station/bar. I passed whilst exiting Sunbridgewells and was drawn in by the selection of spirits on offer. Good chat with the owner. Great little place.”
“Little gem in Calverley. The Little Coffee House has a cosy atmosphere with friendly and kind hosts. I had scrambled eggs with smoked salmon on toast. The scrambled eggs were perfect - fluffy and delicious. They were melting in my mouth. Smoked salmon excellent complimented eggs with light saltiness and smokiness. My latte was creamy and smooth. It's definitely a place to return and try other items from the menu. Thank you!”
“I ordered a birthday brownie stack last year, gluten free. It was amazing, Amanda even hand printed a birthday sign to place on top. I've been buying fudge from her stalls, and outlet at hirst lock Cafe ever since. Amazing product made by a lovely lady”
“Little gem of a tea room! Excellent selection of good priced food. Food excellent quality & portions good too. (3 adults visiting with a dog) Tried their bacon sandwich which was freshly made with plenty of bacon in a soft bap. Coffees made fresh, so we ended up staying long enough for a second round of coffees with cakes (gingerbread man, millionaires shortbread, cornflake tart…..all good value and would easily beat the competition for quality). We’ll certainly be back as there were other good valued meals advertised that we’d like to have tried too. Easily accessible location, and happy to accept dogs (they get as much attention as the humans!)”
“Dropped in for lunch after visiting Brontes birthplace. First visit. Good selection on menu and lovely food. Service slightly erratic but pleasant enough. Enjoyed the food and ambience so will return.”
“Found this place completely by chance but am so glad that I did. Been a few times now, food is superb and fantastic value for money and the staff are really friendly. Definitely where I'll be getting my sarnies from now on!”
“A group of us had the Christmas afternoon tea. All really liked the festive drinks, soup starter, different sandwiches and dessert options. Very generous and delicious slices of cake. Been twice in two months for lunch and the food and service is great.”
“An excellent place to visit! The presentation is top notch and everything is of high quality. There’s a clean toilet available which is always a plus. It’s the perfect spot for a cuppa and a sweet treat. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the service was excellent. It’s definitely worth a visit in its own right such a lovely spot. We stopped here as part of a canal walk from Rodley to Apperley Bridge, and it was a real highlight. Highly recommended!”
“We hadn’t been to Capushi in over three years since our first visit from Australia, so on our return trip to the UK, we made a point of coming back and it was just as warm, welcoming, and wonderful as we remembered. The cosy atmosphere is fantastic, and the staff are as friendly and accommodating as ever. A true gem that never disappoints!”
“This a fine little dog cafe . You can tell the girls love dogs decent coffee and a fantastic Biscoff ice cream milk shake . Scone with cream and jam delicious . Basil the dog enjoyed his ice cream . When in Hebden Bridge give Kibble bakery a visit .”
“Went on a Sunday afternoon, had a short wait for a table. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Didn’t wait too long for food. The food was nice and so was the cakes. Place was kept clean.”
“Great food at a reasonable price. The location is convenient as it's on the main road. Busy street but you can usually find a spot to slot into without too much trouble. Always nice and clean with a few tables and chairs inside. Friendly staff and a very good variety of food. The egg mayo with crispy bacon and salad sandwich is particularly good. Highly recommend this excellent little sandwich shop.”
“Love this place! Beautifully decorated, friendly staff, tasty food & delicious coffee One of my fav places to go & read :)”
“All I wanted was a soup to go . If you have ever requested this , from anywhere . It's not also available. Even rarely. There was tomato and chilli which I have. With brown bread and plenty of butter. Just how i like it . Or chicken and sweet corn . Again another top soup I would choose. Then the sweet slice . Mint cream . I had to get it. And the display then just shone. Everything looking more delicious then the next . I ended up choose a honey comb , road or something and a chocolate covered flap jack . And of course coffee to go”
“The lady, who I'm assuming is the owner, was a lovely essentric welcoming host who runs a very quirky little establishment serving a wide variety of coffee roasts and lovely baked goods. I was fortunate to get some freshly baked scones...straight of the oven, and hey not traditional and puffed up, still tasted lovely. Recommend the Rwandan beans if you get a chance to try it. Nice attention to detail across the decor and crockery.”
“We called in for a coffee which we upgraded to coffee and bacon & sausage sandwiches ... good coffee and sandwiches were very nice. Will definitely return.”
“Amazing warm little place with its lovely aproaching staff . Well pleased with prices and food. Very busy so hurry and grab some good food !! Xxx”
“Great coffee and breakfast here, do pop in, it’s fantastic. We left as they were putting out the lunch dishes, i will certainly be back to try those.”
“Lovely cafe, tasty food and friendly staff. Oh and they are trying to reduce the waste they produce (single use plastics) so win win.”
“I came for the menu and wow it didn’t disappoint. We had breakfast and I can confirm the food was amazing, a bit random but it worked. I had the good karma which has two sausages, some avocado, a tomato, a garlic mushroom, some delicious garlic and rosemary mini roast potatoes cubes. black pudding, beans and bread. My friend went for the stateside but switched bacon for vegan sausage - she also loved hers. I will say it was a bit expensive and the drinks aren’t really worth the price. I had a cup of tea for £2.45 which I felt was quite steep, but I guess we are in a cost of living crisis - regardless of the cost I’d recommend going and would definitely go again myself. It’s also quite a small place and we got the last table luckily so I’m unsure if seating is an issue but there was lots of outside seats available; it was just a bit cold so we wanted to go inside.”
“I waited all week for Thursday to arrive (closed evenings Monday-Wednesday) so I could experience the food after a recommendation. The waiter welcomed me, I was worried there wasn't space as it was busy but thankfully there was. The menu is fairly short which is good, makes selection easier. Opted for starter of fishcakes and noodles main. Had Thai the elsewhere the day before and no sooner had I placed my order the starter was there!! I questioned the freshness there. Copper & Moss took an acceptable amount of time for the starter and the wait wasn't dissapointing, fresh and flavoursome. I was regularly asked if all was OK, there certainly wasn't a shortage of staff. When I came to the main I was informed they had run out of rice noodles, to be honest they could have probably said nothing as I hadn't paid much attention to what noodles they were, but I appreciated the honesty. I was offered some rice in addition, which I thought a strange combination, but again accepted the gesture, glad I did. The main was outstanding, the flavours were so fresh, having had a cold my taste wasn't at its best but this didn't make me miss the Thai basil flavours and combinations of seasoning making a delicious meal. The extra rice was used to mop up the remaining juices, lovely rice it was too, much appreciated. All very fresh and glad I had the opportunity to experience this meal and great service. Oh and I can't forget the Bloody Mary, after a b####y tough week it was much needed. Thank you.”
“Perfect little coffee shop. Food was delicious, staff were very friendly and helpful, to all customers. I will certainly be back to visit this independent coffee shop, when there are two large chain coffee shops within walking distance.”

“Stumbled on the Lightcliffe tearooms as we drove to Halifax. Lovely cafe and enjoyed a scrumptious chicken and bacon salad, picture says it all. Thank you, would recommend.”
“Lesley was brilliant. Really looked after us well. Excellent service Enjoyed our pre Christmas stay. Great food and a few drinks. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area.”
“I love this place, especially in the winter. Great to come for a nice brunch with friends. My usual order is the cheese and onion toastie and the dark hot chocolate. Tastes amazing every time I order this. My favourite dessert from lefteris is the carrot cake, one of the best carrot cakes I have ever tried. The owner is so friendly and the staff are nice too. A bit expensive but a nice treat every once in a while. Great atmosphere and environment for studying or catching up with friends.”
“The conference lunch was delicious, and everything throughout our stay was excellent. We come here quite often, and this experience was good as always. Highly recommended! Silvia was extremely professional and made our visit exceptional. She helped check us in for our conference and hosted the entire event perfectly. We also saw her serving at the bar and look after reception — she truly does it all. After speaking with her, we learned she is a Supervisor, and it’s clear why. Very dedicated. We sure be back. Rudi was also very professional and those ladies looked after us regularly.”
“It's nice sometimes to sit and have a conversation with friends and colleagues over a freshly made coffee. Costa provides this and many other delights too. If your in Brighouse, why not pop in and discover this for yourself.”
