    Spotlight Stage School

    ★★★★★ 4.8
    Closed

“I have danced with Spotlight officially since I was around 4 years old, up until I was 17 and have so many fond memories basically growing up with this dance school. Gill and Amy's teaching over the years has continued to be so valuable in allowing me to compete nationally at a University standard and I think it is a testament to the dance school that so many ex-pupils continue to keep in touch and frequently return. I have been able to dance in some fantastic places thanks to Spotlight, including the Alhambra Theatre and Sadler's Wells Theatre in London. It has always been a friendly and happy environment and I am grateful for all of the opportunities Spotlight gave me during my time there.”

    Lawrence Batley Theatre

    ★★★★☆ 4.7

“Excellent panto again this year. The cast, the set, the story were all excellent. The music was brilliant too - the sweetie song (naming all the different sweets & chocs) and the medley (between spite and cupid) were real highlights. Loved the audience interaction and the jokes. LBT is our favourite venue, its big enough to feel grand and have a great atmosphere but small enough to easily see what's going on and feel intimate. We're so pleased to have this on our doorstep”

“Love the local volunteer run theatre and being a part of it for most of my life has been fantastic. From being in the shows on stage to helping build sets, run backstage or sell sweets front of house there’s something for everyone to do if wanted. Or just come along and enjoy the productions as a member of the public. That’s a very important job too! A wonderfully historic building that holds the community spirit of todmorden at its heart.”

“Matt has amazing experience and knowledge regarding mindset, acting and life in general! As my mentor he’s helped me make huge progress in my acting and personal life. He has a huge range of terrific products such as voiceover webinars, MasterClasses where you get headshots and showreel material, zoom and in-person classes and so much more! His is by far the most well rounded acting organisation I’ve had the pleasure to be part of, he has something for all ages and levels. His teachers and colleagues are amazing, classes are fun and there is loads of interaction eg. On WhatsApp groups and challenges to stretch you. I’m blessed to have met Matt and the other students and colleagues. As my mentor he has supported me daily and has made it clear how to be the best version of myself in my career and all other aspects of my life. The academy classes are incredible and so joyous and stimulating, you learn so much! You won’t regret starting with MZA!”

“Watched a film here on at least ten occasions, never an issue. Very reasonable ticket prices, booking online is even cheaper. Just like you can expect from a movie place, ridiculous food and drink prices but not an issue as Tesco is quite literally in crawling distance from the front doors. I can clarify from my own experience that Vue takes no issue with you bringing in any food or drinks from elsewhere, except (I believe) if it is hot food/drinks.”
