“Tom attended promptly to examine a malfunctioning tumble drier. He listened carefully to details of the problem and made a very thorough examination of the appliance. He identified the problem in a poorly maintained component, and explained the impact this would have. Tom took time to restore the component to fully functioning condition and, recommended that I myself undertake future maintenance on a regular basis. Tom was extremely polite and friendly as well as efficient and knowledgeable. The identification and rectification of the problem almost certainly saved me from buying a new appliance, and therefore wasting hundreds of pounds -- so the price of Tom's expertise was very good value for money!”

“Left the original review below in 2020 and have come back Jan 2024 for an MOT (fitting it in when I am visiting family as at least I will get a good service here) and again had a great experience. Nice and straight forward and honest and a relief when I've had so many horrible experiences. My radiator was leaking and I've heard and read about how expensive it can be to get a new radiator etc so was pleasantly surprised that he could fix the leaks as well as another issue and it was a very reasonable price I am so relieved, thanks! Thank goodness I brought my car for a second opinion to John Moore Auto repairs. Took my car to a well known chain car service (after googling and reading trust pilot reviews I assumed I could trust) in London. They gave me a long list of problems and quote of over £800 (not including service charge I had already paid) for a well looked after 11yo ford fiesta. Of the many red and amber alerts they gave me they included changing all my brakes and so John got everything ready to change and instead found my brakes were almost new and definitely didn’t need changing. He did however find I had a puncture in one tyre and another tyre with a valve leak (both of which had been missed by the well know car chain with apparently good reviews) despite my concern as I needed my car ready for quite a few long distance journeys). The overall cost totalled £250 not over £800! So relieved to find a garage I can trust (thanks to my brother in law) and will be bringing my car here for any future work despite the fact I live in London. Highly recommend.”

“1st Class Garage saved me from a really difficult situation when the clutch broke down upon my arrival to Brighton. When I phoned them the next day and explained my situation, the secretary and the technicians were incredibly understanding and responsive, sending out a couple of mechanics to assess what my car needed. They explained clearly what work needed to be done and when they realised that I couldn't drive the car to them, they sent me to a recovery service that transported my car at a very reasonable and affordable price. They then fixed the clutch that very afternoon which was incredible as I needed to drive back home on Monday! The car drove fantastically on my way back and the fix was a very reasonable price. I couldn't recommend them more as they were friendly, compassionate and responsive to a very stressful situation.”
