“Went here with my dad before seeing the TWICE documentary and have also ordered from here on Just Eat before. Let me tell you it is the best food I have ever had in my entire life. The flavours are so authentic and the portion sizes are so generous so you never feel like you weren’t given enough. There is also an amazing variety of starters, mains and sides to choose from so you have a lot of options. We had the karage chicken and chicken gyoza for starters when we came here and it was heavenly. The mains were even better — teriyaki chicken breast bowl and katsu chicken. I mean it when I say it was the best food we’ve ever had. I could have devoured the entire menu. I have also had the teriyaki 6-piece wings before and they are also just out of this world. The atmosphere inside is also so warm and intimate, I really enjoyed how cosy it was. And for such delicious food, everything is so affordable!! If we had gone somewhere like Wagamamas, we probably would have paid in the range of £60-£100, but for everything we had it only came to £34!! Of course we tipped, because not only was the food amazing but the service too. The owner was so sweet, we talked to him a lot and learnt that it’s a family owned restaurant and can get very busy with both restaurant and takeout orders. I love supporting small businesses like this that really care about the food they make and their customers. Please, please check this place out even if you have never tried Japanese food before. It will be an unforgettable experience and you’ll definitely be coming back again. I know I will, I’m already planning when to make my next visit! Would recommend for anyone that is looking for Chinese food that is based on unami favor; they also do sweet and sour/hot and spicy but it's the traditional northern Chinese food that shines.”

“Came Thursday evening. Nice quiet and tucked away. Manager was very welcoming and ran through the menu with recommendations. Tried hand pulled noodles of beef and chicken. Medium heat was perfect and hot was a kick but not a killer. The dumplings were wonderful. Crispy on one side and soft on the other. Very pleasant meal and worth the money 100%”

“It’s been quite some time since we had eaten Thai so decided to go here for lunch on our wedding anniversary. It’s very close to the main tourist area in the centre of Stratford on a main street We had booked online though there were plenty of tables available (there’s a big area upstairs also). The restaurant is elegant inside and were warmly welcomed by the staff. There was a 2 course lunch menu or a la carte to choose from. We ordered the duck rolls and papaya salad to start - both were fantastic and so tasty. For mains I had the duck with holy basil and my wife the chicken massaman curry. Outstanding food with great flavours. Massaman sauce was especially good. We passed on desserts. Service was friendly and timely. Overall a great meal and look forward to coming back.”

“Chose a dish off the specials board today - Burmese fried chicken with chilli, honey and soy sauce, rice and pickled cabbage. It was absolutely gorgeous. We eat at The Festival several times a month and have enjoyed every meal we've had here. Tasty food, excellent value for money and friendly staff.”

“Just had a Thai Set meal takeaway. I thought "Oh! This is going to be a mistake" Well how wrong can you be? We weren't taken by the menu anywhere else and we wanted to try Blue Orchid. I don't really like Thai Green Curry as it's always a bit watery and bland (basically coconut milk). This was the best I've ever tasted. Beaitufully seasoned with authentic ingredients. The Beef in Oyster sauce was better than any Chinese I've had. Tender meat and nicely flavoured. Dishes are not bulked up with chopped carrot and onion like a lot of places. The Starter selection was very good. Nice accompaniments. All beautifully presented and arrived (despite a wait) still Hot enough that it didn't need reheating. Really pleased we chose this meal. Very much looking forward to visiting the restaurant in person.”

To all the negative reviews .. do not listen to them .. there either attention seekers or moaners .. the special chow mein has more meat in it than any curry house ive used and flavours are too notch . “Honestly, I don’t understand why the rating is only 3.6, the food is great! It’s an authentic Chinese restaurant with a wide variety of dishes from different regions of China. The only downside I found was that the food was too salty. Please consider reducing the salt and avoiding MSG, your food is already delicious! It was just a bit too salty to be healthy. The food quality is excellent, the prices are reasonable, and the portions are generous.”
