“Once you get over the dated interior you will have a lovely stay. I loved the size of the room we stayed in, much bigger than the whole flat that we rented before we went there. The bed was huge and the only one I've slept in away from home where I didn't get backache. The shower was just great and would love one that powerful at home. A word of warning though - test the water before having a shower because the water is extremely hot.The housekeeping team were fabulous with clean towels every day. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. Would I stay there again? For sure. Love it.”
“Staff were very welcoming, helpful and polite. Always pleasant.”
“I was recommended to try this takeaway, and I now recommend you do too. I had a Spicey Donner meal. The meat is spicey as expected but has a depth of flavour, too. Spice dominates, but then bbq lamb, normal lamb, it all has variable texture. The fries are also very good. So refreshing for a kebab to not taste exactly the same with each bite. The red onion and salad items are all crisp and fresh and really do add to the food experience. The owner was friendly and enthusiastic about his business of providing great food with service being better than most big franchises. It's going on my top 5 for the west midlands as It really is that good! Starting deliveroo shortly.”
“Rooms are tired but the price is really good and the breakfast more than half the price of travel lodge and premier inn down the road which u don't even get breakfast . Will stay again and it's only 3 mins walk from centre”
“I absolutely loved my stay in Britannia Coventry. It is a totally old-fashioned hotel with four or five Otis brushed stainless-steel elevators, the rooms are really nice (not luxurious but nice and comfortable and mine was big). The price for each additional day was not much more than 30 pounds, and I chose to have the breakfast which can last up to 3 hours, they have everything, cranberry juice, orange juice, coffee, tea, one of those big old toast machines, and huge trays of unlimited and really big nice sausages, whole stewed tomatoes, nice scrambled eggs, omlettes, fried eggs. I attach some pictures but to understand those are HUGE trays Ah, about the neigbhourhood, it is a 24 hour student neighbourhood, really coming up from how it used to be. But it is international and there are guards watching the door. At night you can go in and out any time, even after 11:00, but to come in you do need to push the buzzer so the receptionist (who is always there) can see you and let you in. Maybe a single older woman might find that a little too intense neighbouhood-wise but for a couple even older I would say it is fine, and for any young person it is fine.”
“As my first hotel experience, my stay at Las Tavola was both enjoyable and comfortable. Upon arriving I was informed that the single room I had booked was unavailable, and so I was given a double room instead at no extra charge. The room was warm, clean and inviting, and I had no trouble sleeping that night. The staff were all very friendly, and quick to offer their service should you need it. On the evening of my stay there was some entertainment on in the bar/restaurant area, consisting of a Lady Gaga tribute act as well as plenty of 80's/90's music throughout the night, which is a welcome change to the usual rubbish that seems to be played at every bar and night club these days. The bar itself was cozy without being cramped, and while I cannot soak for the quality of the restaurant, the drinks were reasonably priced and refreshing. Included in the price of my room was a breakfast, which I unfortunately didn't get the chance to sample due to other arrangements I had already made, however the inviting smell of bacon and sausages that made their way down the corridor left little to the imagination. =) Overall my stay at La Tavola was one that I will definitely remember, and I am certain I will be staying again sometime in the near future. Many thanks to all the staff at La Tavola! I hope to see you all again soon!”
“I had a great stay at the Hylands Hotel . The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful and the location is really convenient just a few minutes from Coventry Station.”
