They were funny, laughing, and had great banter with each other and us guests. It created a fantastic atmosphere—exactly what you need from a bar experience. The best part is that while they were joking around and making our time amazing, they were still incredibly efficient and managed to get everything done perfectly. The service was top-notch! “A credit to the village. I live in the village and used to use the Granville a lot years ago. But it changed hands a lot and went down hill badly. Last year Jennie and her team took the pub on and have made it into the village hub. The work and efforts they have put in to make it into the village pub we all needed and love is fantastic. We now visit weekly with the kids and the food is fantastic and atmosphere is amazing. They accommodate for all ages, friends and families. We can now even go down on a Saturday night when we don’t have the kids and there’s always music of all types and we can have a dance and a great time. It’s a gem in the village to have for everyone and brings the whole community together.”

“Stayed here because I was heading to SWB Motorsports, its less than a mile away. The Dun Cow was busy when we stayed, maybe due to Christmas, but more likely because the staff were so friendly, despite being busy. We had evening meals and breakfast - fantastic choice of food, happy to make small changes on the menu to meet your needs, very alert to any allergens. Our room, the Draycote, could accommodate a family if required, had a very clean and enormous shower room and the most gloriously uneven, quirky floor due to the age of the building. The bed was really comfy (I like a firm mattress) which helped me sleep quite soundly, it covered up the only downside (my husband heard the traffic) of being alongside a busy crossroads.”

“Really good family pub. I don’t normally leave reviews unless I’m particularly impressed and I am here. Ticks all the boxes, play area, colouring and crayons for the kids. A decent pint, nice traditional but well kept decor with indoor and outdoor background music. The food is really good and incredibly cheap & great value. The icing on the cake is the staff and service. Young well mannered and helpful people who are a credit to the establishment. Well done, We’l definitely be back.”

“We had great service from the Indian staff at the bar and restaurant. The atmosphere was lovely with lighting and decor, the room was modern & lovely. The toilet was clean, but I think they forgot to decorate that. Herman in the restaurant was fantastic and went beyond & over on his service, a rising star in our opinion. We had a curry, and it was fantastic, giving some Indian restaurants a run for their money.”

“We had our corporate Christmas event at Ansty Hall, and I couldn’t speak highly enough of our experience. We had James in the daytime who was absolutely fantastic and so attentive. He was extremely likeable and also very helpful and flexible when it came to changing the time of our lunch, and providing general assistance with setting up the day. The evening part was equally well managed by Desmond, delaying courses whilst we finished our quiz rounds without us even having to ask. Overall it was brilliant!”

“I have lived here for one year. It is a very nice place with very helpful staff, especially Lynn. I first met her on the viewing day, and she helped me find the most suitable type of flat. She has always been extremely supportive and often solves problems before I even notice them. For example, if someone parks in my space, Lynn will contact me right away to check if I know the car and then help to locate the owner and have it moved, often before I even return home. I will never hesitate to recommend Elliots Yard to others who are looking for a place to live!”

“Fantastic place for drinks and food. Needed a new place to go for a drink after I've visited every pub and restaurants in Coventry. I drove from Cov to Rugby and I bet, I wasn't disappointed. Great setting, large space, fantastic staff, and great meal. Oh, and the streetside view is marvellous. I will be ungrateful not to mention the spacious car park they've got. I highly recommend this pub.”

“We booked a table for 3 adults. The table was comfortable, bight and airy. Pleasant atmosphere. All of the staff were friendly. Shane, Kane and Ryan. The meals were delicious. Considering it was Sunday and fairly busy we didn't have to wait very long for our food. 3 clean plates. Would recommend. We go on a regular basis and it's always good.”
