“It was my sister birthday and we decided to spend our dinner at a Japanese restaurant. The sushi was delicious, and well-price. The salmon sashimi was so fresh and came with thick slices. They also offered cooked sets for my sister since she is not comfortable with raw fish. I love my Koko Special Lychee too. The staffs were friendly and they even sang happy birthday to my sister.”

“Been going to Nicks sandwich bar for years now, his foods great, and very reasonable prices, plus he's there 7 days a week, so if needed you can get a sandwich on a Sunday, which is good to know. And there's chairs and tables in gazebos to eat in.”

“Came here with my mom, atmosphere is 10/10. The decorations are lovely, nice homely feel. The staff were lovely and very accommodating, always checking up on us. The chips were tasty and the cocktails were lovely too. Everything about this place was great. I definitely recommend this place to everyone.”

“We had a lovely prosecco afternoon tea Tuesday for my birthday which my friend brought me. The ladies were very friendly, we couldn't eat all our lovely cakes so brought them back in a box. The food was very nice and fresh lots of choice. We will definately be visiting again to try more on the menu. Thank you”

“We celebrated our daughter’s 18th birthday at The Lounge and i have to say the place was amazing. The staff and management were fantastic and catered for all our needs. The food was absolutely amazing and probably the best I’ve had for a wedding or party. All of our guests have sent messages stating they were so impressed with the food. Your amazing Chef and Service Staff definitely need a pay rise for all their hard work. If anyone requires similar set up like the pictures below please don’t hesitate ask the team to get in touch.”

“Went for a birthday meal on Tuesday 25th June. We were seated upstairs. The staff were very friendly, warm and welcoming. The tapas dishes we had were all delicious especially the pork belly each dish were flavoursome had 6 dishes in total between the 2 of us. We also ordered pratas bravas, chorizo, harissa chicken, casa med salad and bread with balsamic and oil. It was very filling so had no room for desert. With the 15% it was well worth it. I was pleasantly surprised how much it was so I recommend going on a Tuesday. This is the place to go for a special occasion.”

“Highly recommend for Grill lovers especially the Sizzler Tandoori Chicken was amazing. We loved the delicious indian dishes with nice and crispy Butter Naan. Enjoyed the fabulous ambience with dine in as it was so relaxing. Staff was so nice and friendly and the customer service was excellent. They served high quality food eventhough its not pricey. “I only discovered this chip shop about six months ago and it's right on the way home from work. I've only been a few times so far but every time the food has been perfect. It's really difficult to find a consistently good chippy these days, but Ryecroft serve great food every time.”

“By far the best fish n chips in the whole of birmingham. Better than Bedders all day long. No weird greasy aftertaste, no smelly smells in the restaurant. The chips cooked to perfection. Fish was lovely and flaky no skin or off putting veins in the fish no bones, good decent portion size, average price. Service was friendly, atmosphere was relaxing, a great place to dine with plenty of seating either upstairs or downstairs. Overall 10/10 definitely worth going and has become our regular for fish n chips.”

“Servers were very good and food was incredible. We had the tasting menu with wine pairings and it did not disappoint. Well worth the money and experience. Staff were very nice. The ONLY gripe was that the first few courses came really fast but then had a 45 minute wait for the main. It was worth the wait but when you have a matching menu, you also run out of a drink! The water bottles are expensive so we had to wait for the main and drink.”

You can really tell that the chefs take pride in their cooking. The fish was another highlight — fresh, perfectly seasoned, and grilled just right. It honestly melted in the mouth. It’s rare to find a place that nails both meat with such consistency, but Merrymaid absolutely does. The service was top-notch throughout our visit. , the food came out hot and fresh, and the servers were attentive without being intrusive. What really impressed me, though, was the personal touch — the owner, Ranjit, personally came over to our table to ask how everything was. That kind of attention and care speaks volumes about how much pride he takes in his restaurant and how much he values his customers. It’s not just a meal here — it’s an experience. Everything about this place says quality — from the cleanliness of the restaurant to the presentation of the food and the friendly, family-like vibe that makes you want to stay longer. “Brought my boyfriend here for his birthday meal as we were staying in an AirBnb close by. Service was top tier, the lads were very attentive. We had a cocktail each which were both top quality, although I wish they sold lassi here. Food was beautiful, it felt a lot more authentic than your typical Indian restaurant. If you don't handle spice very well then maybe ask for recommendations as it's on the hotter side, masala chips were very spicy. Different dishes to choose from, the selection was great. Very much enjoyed it although quite pricey, came to nearly £90 for two. Would return if I was in the area”
