“I can’t believe I have almost lived in Kiddy for two years & yet hadn’t tried this place until today! I’m so glad I did! We had a korma, butter chicken, garlic naan & rice. Everything was delicious! We didn’t have to wait too long & it arrived hot! I thoroughly enjoyed every single bite - and personally I found the portion sizes perfect, especially for such brilliant prices! We also got a Negroni & White Russian. The food menu is impressive but the cocktail menu is crazy! The interior design is also very groovy, I’m a big fan. I’m already planning my next visit! P.S they do delivery too!”

“Recently found this gem. I can’t believe I didn’t know about it until I went on my nieces Facebook as I don’t have FB. The malteser cheesecake and shortbread are amazing. I’ve been looking for cafes with homemade cakes and these truly are homemade, which is such a rarity! The staff also make the latte to preference such as decaf/ oat milk etc the indoor area is clean with tasteful decor. The outside seating is really lovely as it’s based in a pretty and peaceful location. There is a free car park that can be used. Owner is lovely and friendly. We felt very welcome. I was a bit worried as I’ve been to other places which are a bit hostile towards Muslims/ Asians but there was no need to be worried here. I haven’t tried the food yet but when I do I will edit my review . I’d love to see more cheesecake flavours as Gil is a great baker . I am a baker too and I have very high standards so that’s saying something . Im definitely not easily pleased when it comes to cakes. Overall really lovely cafe . I went to another cafe before I discovered Gils for homemade cakes and that was such a major disappointment in quality and taste and did not compare to Gils. Prices are really good for the cake considering it’s homemade and generous portions . Only wish I could visit more often but due to health problems I can’t but when I do it’s a lovely experience. “We have just returned from a lovely evening at The Swan. We were a large group of 18 people but this presented no problems for the team and food was brought out all together and each meal was tasty, well presented and piping hot. Service was also friendly, efficient and full of smiles. We always recommend The Swan to people but the team really went the extra mile tonight with our large group. Thank you!”

“A really lovely pub with a great atmosphere. There are a few different rooms to choose where to sit and a huge garden with plenty of benches to sit at. It's a Bathams pub but they serve other beers, lagers and ciders too. They offer a range of cobs, pork pies, sausage rolls and pasties all of which are great. Definitely worth a visit.”

“we come here after we visit kinver edge for a drink and a meal. this place is very nice, there’s seating outside when the weather is nice, they have a nice size carpark, drinks and food is lovely, especially the fish and chips, my family have the sunday roast and they love it, they keep nagging me to take them again considering we live in birmingham. friendly staff and great service. oh and the chips were delicious.”

“Found this little gem by chance, and what a find. Recently taken over by new management. The decor was welcoming and comforting, with very nice leather sofa's and armchairs, amongst other tables and chairs. with a nice out door area included at the rear of the pub. We had an afternoon lunch which was of high quality at a very decent price. Staff was very pleasant too. A must visit, one which we will certainly be returning too soon.”

“The Weary Traveller has become my home from home this last week while I visit friends and family in the area. Sam was very welcoming and the local regulars have been accepting of this 'Auzzie outsider'. I haven't sampled the food but the ale is on par and reasonably priced. The atmosphere is welcoming and inclusive. The place can go from quiet to 'everyone singing to the duke box' very quickly indeed. Look forward to calling The Weary Traveller my 'local' for another week while I retread my infancy and continue to visit family.”

“Had a great tandoori chicken curry from here large naan bread & poppadom. Could of done with a tv or a radio on in here was a bit gloomy. It was nice to see the cheifs cooking the food in the back. Food was really nice would come again got to love an indian takeaway”
