Foodie experience in Coventry

“Went here with my dad before seeing the TWICE documentary and have also ordered from here on Just Eat before. Let me tell you it is the best food I have ever had in my entire life. The flavours are so authentic and the portion sizes are so generous so you never feel like you weren’t given enough. There is also an amazing variety of starters, mains and sides to choose from so you have a lot of options. We had the karage chicken and chicken gyoza for starters when we came here and it was heavenly. The mains were even better — teriyaki chicken breast bowl and katsu chicken. I mean it when I say it was the best food we’ve ever had. I could have devoured the entire menu. I have also had the teriyaki 6-piece wings before and they are also just out of this world. The atmosphere inside is also so warm and intimate, I really enjoyed how cosy it was. And for such delicious food, everything is so affordable!! If we had gone somewhere like Wagamamas, we probably would have paid in the range of £60-£100, but for everything we had it only came to £34!! Of course we tipped, because not only was the food amazing but the service too. The owner was so sweet, we talked to him a lot and learnt that it’s a family owned restaurant and can get very busy with both restaurant and takeout orders. I love supporting small businesses like this that really care about the food they make and their customers. Please, please check this place out even if you have never tried Japanese food before. It will be an unforgettable experience and you’ll definitely be coming back again. I know I will, I’m already planning when to make my next visit! “Had a lovely server called Kayleigh and Harry. Fantastic atmosphere and lovely food! Would definitely recommend for a bottomless brunch or just for a few drinks to catch up with friends. Drinks were 10/10 food was 10/10 atmosphere 10/10 friendliness of staff 10/10 as I got greeted on arrival and perfect interventions once ordered. Although it was sort of quiet around 19:00 I would recommend anyone to come here :))”

“The two lovely girls working were very welcoming and helpful with dietary advice and requests. It was lovely to see a dog in there, that's always a plus. The food was excellent quality, fresh and well worth the money, the cakes had vegan and gluten free option's, I honestly couldn't fault anything at all and I shall definitely be going back.”

“Came here on a lunch break Tried the burgers before in Leicester and they were ok. Standard burger really but wanted to try the loaded fries. Had the bad boy hot mess !!! Wow best loaded fries i have ever had !! So full of flavour. Could eat these all day Keep up the great work guys”

“A lovely charming place with great atmosphere. I had dinner here on Friday night, lots of good vegan options and service was amazing. It's really beautiful inside and they have seating on 2 levels. Live music was playing Friday evening and the band took music requests. Will certainly be back for more, when I'm back in Coventry.”

“A top pizza takeaway (with some limited restaurant seating) in the Coundon area of Coventry. Pop In Pizza makes fantastic food, prices are always good, better than the other well known pizza chain and you can see far into the kitchen and it’s very clean indeed. I’ve always been a fan of the dough they use here and the crusts are fluffy, make sure you get some dip to make full use of the crusts.”

“By far the best Chocolate Brownie and the best Peri Peri Chips I've ever had. They were absolutely delicious. The Fillet Mignon was nice and juicy and cooked to perfection. Would definitely go there again and recommend to everyone.”

“Good Catch is a brilliant find in the heart of Leamington Spa. The owner, Mandi, is incredibly welcoming and brightens your day with her warm smile. During my visit, I was treated to a complimentary miso soup, which was super yummy! The salmon poke bowl I had was absolutely delightful—fresh, flavorful, and nourishing. It's the kind of meal that leaves you feeling great. I’ll definitely be a regular at this new favorite spot!”

Medium heat was perfect and hot was a kick but not a killer. The dumplings were wonderful. Crispy on one side and soft on the other. Very pleasant meal and worth the money 100%”

“We’d been recommended Jack’s Shack by so many people and it definitely lived up to the hype. We popped in for lunch and ended up staying for a few hours with our laptops – a great spot to work from on a sunny day as the light came flooding in from the big windows. Lovely, relaxed atmosphere, delicious food that arrived really quickly, and the iced coffee was especially good. One of us was gluten free and the other a fussy eater but we both had no problem finding something suitable on the menu...Eggs & avo on sourdough toast, a gluten-free ham & cheese toastie.
