“I would recommend this place is suitable for children under the age of 10 it was nice and quiet and my daughter loved it.”
“Had a great pre-xmas trip here last week. Staff were lovely and the place is clean and orders delivered promptly. Nice collections for Macmillan on the counter and staff happy to chat about the reasons which resonated with my family. Lovely day out. Will be back again thanks guys x”
“Friendly and helpful staff. The cinema was clean and comfy with plenty of loos. Food and drinks service could be better organised as it was a little slow. Some staff seemed busy while others less so. Provision of some form of tray would have been helpful too. Overall good value for money.”
“1st class service when you enter argos, ladys always smiling and happy to help, got a sofa delivered, and unpacked and put were i wanted,5 star thanks again mr k, Dunfermline.”
“Had a party at the weekend for our daughter’s 7th birthday, tie dye t shirts and slime making. Kirsty kept all the kids engaged and everyone had great fun. The trays with building sticks and drawing stencils for kids to play with inbetween and before went down really well.A different party for creative kids but lots of fun. Kids couldn’t wait to see their tie dye creations. Would highly recommend”
“Absolutely lovely pub with a beer garden, very friendly and clean and nice atmosphere, reasonable prices too.”
“Beautiful park, great for kids and adults, bring some nuts as the resident squirrels eat them right out of your hand, The parking is free, disabled parking is next to the bandstand, drive through the first parking lot and follow the road through, You could also park in the main street and get access to the front entry of the park, just be mindful of any parking fees or time limits, it is easier to park in the parks, parking lot, There is an old church with an old cemetery, look up to the big square tower of the church and see king Bruce, carved at the top, im not entirely sure but there is a connection to robert the Bruce, from the cemetery the views are absolutely stunning u can see the 3 bridges over the firth of forth Next to this church is the ruins of dunfermline abbey its stunning i prefer ruins, it is free to visit both the church and abbey but for the Abbey they said u had to go online and book your ticket and show the arcade to the staff member You don't need to go into the Abbey grounds to appreciate it, u can look down on it from the cemetery, dogs are allowed into the Abbey but not the church, it is worth going into the church its beautiful beyond words inside A wander around to the glasshouse its full of exotic plants from around the world there is also formal gardens right next to the glasshouse, a bit further up the path heading towards the peacock cafe is a sunken Japanese garden it sadly is a bit over grown and the pagoda thing is falling to bits, its still worth going down there though, Near the cafe, which seemed popular on the day I visited, you will find the peacocks wandering around freely, so its best to keep your dog on a lead in this area, from the cafe its only a short walk back to your car, Overall this park is a must visit especially if you are a history enthusiast, all around the park is hidden remnants of historical buildings My only problem with this park is the chronic lack of signs telling you where to find certain areas, so its just a matter of wandering around until you stumble along something historical There are some pretty steep hills and steep paths made of rocks, but most of the main paths are in good condition but not really suitable for someone in a wheelchair There is an old train engine that kids can climb on, as well as a few large kids play parks There is loads of benches or grassy bits to stop and have a picnic, just keep an eye out for rogue squirrels they really aren't afraid of humans The park is big, around 75 acres if I remember but u can do a short or long walk depending on your fitness Stepping into this park feels like u have stepped back in time, u can feel and imagine how it was like back then, take your time and enjoy the atmosphere of this park xx”
“Nice polite staff and a lively building. We attended a social dance which was enjoyable and the group were lovely and welcoming and didn't mention how terrible my dancing was.”
“Lovely old theatre with a good view of the stage from most of the seats. Ticket prices are very reasonably priced We went to see Lulu live, plus T.Rextacy great shows. Nice bar area in the Circle.”

“We couldn’t be happier with Brightstarts! The staff are so caring and attentive, creating a warm, safe, and fun environment where our daughter thrives. She’s always excited to share what she’s learned and the wonderful activities she’s enjoyed. Communication is excellent, and it’s clear they genuinely care about the children. Highly recommend to any parent looking for a nurturing and engaging nursery!”
“Not only is the place fun filled and a great place to spend the day, it's also community orientated. They have kindly gifted a donation to one of the local schools for their Christmas Fayre. Highly recommend whether its a day out with the family or a fun filled catch up with a friend/colleague.”
“Has everything fantastic food, great choice of drinks and cocktails. Amazing staff!!! Cosy inside tables outside bar outside seating in 2 areas and a pavilion sure to tick all the boxes for everyone!!”
“Great leisure centre! I mainly use the gym which is very well equipped for most gym users needs (squat racks, Olympic bars/plates, adjustable benches, dumbbells up to 50 kg, treadmills, machines etc.). The staff are always very friendly, and helpful whenever you have a question.”
“Carnegie Leisure Centre is an absolute gem for the Dunfermline community. Whether you're into swimming, fitness, or family activities, this place has something for everyone. The swimming pool facilities are top-notch — especially the main pool and the brilliant leisure pool with a flume and wave machine. It’s perfect for both serious swimmers and kids who just want to have fun. The poolside is clean, well-maintained, and well-supervised by friendly staff. The gym area is modern and well-equipped, with a good range of cardio machines, resistance equipment, and free weights. It's spacious and rarely feels overcrowded, even during peak hours. The fitness classes are varied and professionally run — from yoga and spin to body pump and aqua aerobics. Changing facilities are clean and secure, and the café area is a nice bonus — great for a post-workout coffee or snack. What really stands out is the staff: always helpful, welcoming, and professional. They create a very inclusive and relaxed environment for everyone, from beginners to regulars. If you’re in Dunfermline or nearby, Carnegie Leisure Centre is definitely worth a visit. Great value, excellent facilities, and a real community feel.”
“A hidden gem. Driven past many, many times, but we've never been in - until now. Great food. It is really nicely decorated inside. Friendly staff and good service. They clearly do take out too, so we will be ordering from there in the future, too.”
“Had a fantastic visit here with friends. We went in for lunch and were told about the new which had just started the previous day. We took the koftas based on recommendation from the member of staff and really enjoyed them. Good service from friendly staff. Noticed an advertisement for a quiz on a Thursday so will need to go back for that soon. Keep up the good work”
“Fantastic Nursery! It’s very safe and clean, my daughter has no issue going in and always comes home happy with new stories to tell. It’s also very refreshing knowing the staff can answer any question i have. Appreciate all the effort from the team. Highly Recommend!”
“My son has benefited from a year at Lauriston nursery, and I have been consistently very impressed by all aspects of the provision they provide. They are so responsive to the needs of each individual child, and he has come on so much over his time there. Staff are friendly, professional, warm and approachable and have such a genuine affection for the kids, it really is a special place. I would, without any hesitation, recommend this nursery to anyone looking for the best pre-school start for their child. I honestly cannot praise it highly enough!”
“Fantastic service Fantastic djs.”
