“The best cafe we found in 400 miles cycling from Devon to Yorkshire. We were made to feel really welcome, the coffee was good and strong, the breakfast was amazing and the cake portions were very generous. The owner was very chatty and helpful with recommendations for the local area. I wish we were local so we could come back!”

“I took my partner here for his birthday meal and we both really loved it! I'm a vegetarian and I was recommended the Salmon by our host Jordan. The salmon was absolutely delicious and a really good portion size! The other vegetarian options all looked good with a suprising amount of options which I was pleasantly surprised with. My partner is very much a meat eater (which is why I chose this restaurant for him) and he had a great time! He tried all the meats and his favourite was the garlic salt sirloin steak. He also really enjoyed the honey pork and the lamb. I'm also a big fan of salad bars and we both agreed that this was the best salad bar we've had at a restaurant! Lots of really nice fresh produce that you can tell hadn't been sat there for ages. We were served by Jordan, Ilona and Pusak, all were equally friendly and attentive. It was my partners birthday as I mentioned and they also brought out a cocktail on the house with a candle in it as a suprise which we both thought was very kind. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant. It's all you can eat which can sometimes be expensive but you 100% got your moneys worth here. We'll definitely be recommending it to others and we'll be coming back next time we're in Beverley! *we didn't take any photos because we were too busy enjoying the food!!*”

“We visited Saturday night so had the 9 course taster menu. The food was simply amazing! So good waiting for each course not knowing what would be coming next. The chef recommend a wonderful white wine to accompany our meal followed by a wonderful shiraz to finish. The two waitresses who served us were very polite and informative and are an asset to this restaurant. We all had an amazing time. Will certainly be visiting again.”

The service was exceptional—efficient, friendly, and impressively quick. We were seated and served our drinks within a minute of arriving. The set lunch menu offers incredible value, with a starter and main course priced just under £15. Our food arrived remarkably fast, served piping hot and prepared with fresh ingredients. We waited less than 10 minutes for our starter, and our main followed shortly after. The presentation was equally impressive, showcasing great attention to detail. Though we typically opt for Chinese cuisine, this experience has completely won us over. The menu is extensive, and we are already planning our next visit to explore more dishes. The restaurant itself is stunning, featuring beautiful artwork, stylish tables, and elegant panelled walls. One standout detail was the impeccable cleanliness—it's clear that the staff take great pride in maintaining the space. Without a doubt, Thai Palace has become our new favourite restaurant. “Since I started school here, Red Chilli has been my go-to spot for authentic Nigerian food. I’ve tried other African restaurants in Hull, but nothing compares to the flavors and quality I get at Red Chilli. The food here brings me a real taste of home, and it’s consistently delicious. Every dish feels freshly made with just the right spices, and I can tell they care about maintaining that true Nigerian flavor. Their jollof rice, suya, and egusi are some of my absolute favorites. Not only is the food spot on, but the portions are generous, so you always get a satisfying meal for a good price. Red Chilli is more than just a restaurant for me; it’s a piece of home away from home. If you’re looking for an authentic Nigerian dining experience in Hull, this is it – nothing else comes close!”

“My wife loves this shop and spent a good 40 minutes choosing a few things on a late afternoon in December. As we left we realised that the shop had closed (20 minutes ago) and we were the only customers left. Despite that, all the staff were helpful, there was no hurrying us up or tannoy announcement. “This is a good Chinese restaurant with really friendly staff and a menu with a good range of options. There are dishes that you would see at most Chinese restaurants as well as some that are less common, which is always nice to see. They are happy to make reasonable changes to dishes for you. Allergens are labeled on the menu and we've eaten here several times with no issues with allergen cross contamination, even when we haven't specifically pointed it out. The building is an old English pub so from the outside you might not realise that it is a Chinese restaurant, making it feel like a bit of a hidden gem to me! I've visited several times now and will definitely be going back!”

“I don’t know where to start from!! The food was AMAZING and the portions were very generous. We ordered multiple dishes however my favourites were the chicken Malay curry and the lemon and cashew rice. The service was absolutely amazing as the staff kept checking on us to make sure the food was okay and we also got offered multiple free chocolate at the end of our meal. We couldn’t finish out main and a staff member helped with packing our food. Overall a great experience and everyone should try it out:))”

“Very enjoyable experience for International Breakfast Buffet at Soju. Everything was fresh, delicious and served quickly. The staffs were polite, the place is spacious and clean, which is quite refreshing compared to many much smaller similar restaurants. Overall still happy and would definitely come back.”

“Excellent concept, students learning restaurant management, service and preparing food in a real restaurant setting to paying public. Absolutely lovely meal with a licensed bar and the atmosphere in the restaurant was relaxed, we felt unrushed and service was fantastic. Young students aged between around 16 - 20 managed the whole experience under supervision of a front of house college tutor who remained low key and let the students experience all aspects of a restaurant service but stepped in when needed. The menu and introduction encourages customers to treat this as a full learning experience for students and to be varied and realistic with our requests..to test their experience and knowledge. It was French night when we dined and we enjoyed every course, coffee a bottle of wine and petis fours. Absolutely full to bursting with great quality authentic French meals. We are booked in for a future Italian and Indian evening and very much looking forward to returning. A lovely evening and highly recommended”

“Edit: They seem to have really improved recently, don't remember the last time we had to chase them. Their fries are a lot nicer now too. Original: Food is really nice, unfortunately the service always lets them down. Routinely have to call them up to chase them on orders after they miss their estimated delivery windows, I always wait at least an extra 10 minutes too. This place could be an absolute gem if they just managed to get their service issues sorted out. To be clear, the staff are always friendly enough. Problem just stems down to slow service and lack of communication. Maybe it's time to increase the estimated delivery windows on all the apps?”

“Our favourite go to calzone place! They do such a delicious sweet dough, makes it so unique! The calzones are filled with lots of yummy meat and bbq sauce. They also give such a generous amount of chips! Very satisfied and the prices are very generous too”
